For starters, the bombing runs. My buddy and I called in numerous bombing runs as the Japanese, which covered the entire objective and behind it, and are lucky when we get 3 kills. However, we watched the Ally bombers not only decimate our team, but I got killed by it when I was 30-40m outside of the redzone. Please make the bombers equal in power.
Secondly, the Stuart tank seems to have glitched (or otherwise working improperly) armor. I tried using tanks, attack aircraft (250 kg bombs landing within 5m of the tank), even pulled out the AT rifle, which the only thing I could damage was the track. The front was impervious, even through the MG holes, the sides couldn’t be penetrated, even the back seemed to not let shots pass through armor.
Similar to the Stuart though thankfully not quite as bad, the M13 seems pretty much immune to aircraft bombs. Having landed the 250 kg bomb directly next to it, just for the damage indicator to show no damage done. AT rifles which usually are a great counter seemed to take about 3 times as many hits tonight. Even upon frying (red and black on damage indicator) the gun, turret, and ammo, it continued firing like there was no issue, and I was seemingly unable to kill the gunner from the front.
These amongst HE shells seeming to have no effect has left Pacific EXTREMELY difficult to try to progress in as the Japanese. I would suggest at the very least looking into the Stuart rather soon as its racking up more kills than even the m13 in most games I play, as it seems unkillable in the current state.
I think the bomber strike is generally underpowered now. Back when it first came in you could get 30+kills easily. At the time it was near impossible to shoot them down as well so they got nerfed into oblivion.
Now I think they are supremely underpowered, because they have a long cooldown, Jack all splash damage, and are basically free kills to any plane or AA gun. I think they should stay as vulnerable as they are now, But get back their devastating payload.
Its got a massive warning its coming, the areas its going to hit is shown, and you have ages to intercept it.
Stuarts in Normandy have inconsistent armor as well, at most I’ll kill two crew members if I hit the turret right then the rest of the shots just seem to become one with the Stuart. Truly a enlightened gaijin tank for the time being.
I mean, woudn’t it be easier to just wait for progresion rework for this one? It will be some low level soo most likely much less XP you are gonna need to unlock it.
The issue that I have is that Allies get better planes, bombs, tanks, and better guns up until like lvl 20. The grind to get to that point is insane, as Japanese just don’t stand a chance early on. With the inconsistencies we have been experiencing, even the AT rifle that’s meant to balance out the playing field isn’t doing its job.
that plus Allies side is full of bots, it’s unplayable, nips also have super op type 97 at rifles that for some reason not a single dev want to nerf it, it’s first AT unlock for JP and yet it’s most powerful it can pen all american tanks including m3 stuart (you just need to aim better it’s extremely easy to ignite it’s fuel and you can do it constantly if you have ammo box or multiple at troopers)
That depends on what time you hop on to play, and what server you are in (North America, Europe, or Eastern Europe). When we jump on, its the exact opposite. Japanese are usually only my group and maybe one other player, while Allies are full players.
Considering the m13 SPAA is the first “tank” that Allies unlock, which seems to pen all Japanese tanks, function as an AA, has a scope for twin M2 12.7mm guns, and with the reintroduction of structure penetration can saw through houses… I think the AT rifle is a fair thing to have…
That said, as I noted there seems to be inconsistencies in the armor of the Stuart. In the testing range there wasn’t too much issue, but in an actual game, none of that seemed to hold true. I shot the viewports, MG ports, even point blank from the sides and often do no damage. Even shooting straight into the back it rarely works. Not to mention the turret is completely impossible to pen.
this is my winrate btw, im saying this on all servers. japan is extremely easy atm with the playerbase stacking on japan. allied playing Is HELL, just try it lmao
My group and I play on xbox, and with a combination of PC crossplay on and off (depends on who is in the group). Predominately console players play as Allies. Though when we play with crossplay on, there seems to be a majority of PC players on Allies as well, though we get a couple here and there on Japanese.
We play anywhere from 15:00 - 23:00 EST. If you wish to see what that is your time and try it then.
this is false, ask anyone who plays both sides they will tell u everyone plays on Japan atm, i suggest u to show ur stats on US as well. and play without crossplay off.
Rofl, almost everyone on my list (about 20 players) play Pacific pretty often. Only about 10 of them even attempt to play as Japanese. Every one of them uses Pacific Allies to grind extra silver orders because the Japanese are all bots 8 out of 10 games. Its an absolute slaughter!
