A broken mechanic needs fixing no matter how often it is used.
delaying the next cap by attrition all the way to the objective zone used to be a very valid and effective tactic. attacking teams used to, and should when not done carefully and methodically, loose a good lot of tickets stabilizing and securing the recently cap objective, and turning the grey zone between caps into a secure position to build rallies and fortifications for the next advance.
covering the enemy advance from position to position inflicting as much damage as possible is (was) a very valid, sound and effective tactic.
now, things have changed. the moment your objective is capped by the enemy, or seems to be about to be capped, the counterplay offered (git gud, skill issue) is you have to turn and run like hell (giving your back to the enemy), in the hope that you reach somewhere near the next target zone before 2, 3 or 4 very well armed and positioned paratrooper squads landed there. dont even think on building a rally, since you are in the enemy pushing zone now, and the enemy will find it by just advancing, no need to go rally hunting…
obviously all this only happen in my personal custom server, seems like the general experience in this forums is that most paratroopers die by themselves, before landing, not even need to shoot them, just look in their general direction and they pop. skill issue, obviously.
Ok, I tried it out and took my best unit with the most suitable perks. An armor spawn point cannot be reached. Sorry but that was really fake news. I’ll only believe it when someone gives me video proof.
The only possibility that exists or could work would be the use of a motorcycle. But I haven’t tried that.
i dont think he meant the exact pixel where the enemy armor spawns. that wouldnt be feasible. he seems more implying in the APPROACH LINES from armor spawn to objective covering positions.
Never seen the point of trying to drop on the point unless there’s a roof above it, any decent player can tell where you’re going to drop as soon as the crate chute opens or the first dudes chute opens. Seen a lot of paras get wiped that way.

I can’t mash the suicide button fast enough when I have a five man Squad or 7 man squad
cause thats not the meta to counter paratroopers!!! you have to suicide half the squad right as you spawn, so you can suicide faster with the others when the time comes. and it will come, all of them know it.
of course you can try to run back to the next objective, while being shot by the paratroopers in the new objective from the front, and the brunt of the enemy force from behind, tanks and everything else. if you die, you have severe skill issues.
it is a fact well known in life that if someone, ever, in the entire history, have managed to do something, anything at all, everyone can do exactly the same as easily, or even more. you just have to try harder and git gud.

I see that you misunderstood that people go straight to the tank spawn points in the grey zone. What i meant is that in maps like stalingrad and berlin, tanks mostly have only 1 way to go, when they exit the gray zone they follow that 1 path and just land on a mine. Completely unplayable.

I believe that the solution to the issue would be to allow the grey zone to continue to exist until atleast 5 players have entered the greyzone, then the greyzone is pushed back and the objective can be “dropped” on. It would allow defenders to be able to gain some time and space to defend as well as allow any and all attackers who are all the way in the rear the chance to get upto the new frontline and not feel like they have to run from the beaches of Normandy to the hills of the Rhine.
If you follow the road and run over a mine and get killed you probably deserve it. When has it ever been safe to take a road in an armoured vehicle??
