Now that I have less time, no-time lock would not be ideal for people who are busy (i.e work)
Thats the same thing
well i assume most people give up after the AT44 since even adam wasnt on after that. Altho i went for it and got all the reward anyway
happen everytime i play american quite frustrating ngl
In short: the event was disgusting, too high demands directed at the whales to remove the progression quickly, no matter how much they tell me no, that’s what I felt, I strongly recommend that an event of this type not be repeated in this way or that demands be reduced because not everyone will be able to spend so much time on the computer
yep agree thought these format were for special “short” event (like the browning or lewis event) not long one
Event to generate burnout in your most loyal community.
If you want to expand numbers, make a PVE mode, make the game more F2P friendly so that people can invite friends.
exactly
Not with me, it doesn’t. The only thing that stops me from getting after the bombers is enemy fighter support.
After i finally got the AT-44 i instantly stopped playing for over a week. Does DF want players to start hating their game with too tiresome and demanding events that turned off many players that no longer even care about WT events (or game altogether) or do they want players to have fun and be happy to login to play? I hope future events won’t be as unbearable and so restrictive as this event.
The event was not fun or exciting, just god damn grind.
Got the last squad yesterday, not sure i will play for a while. I feel a bit burned out on the game.
It felt like a 2nd job where you had to met a quota otherwise they would penalty and fine you
Agreed - and it also did not help that the servers from the game itself seemed to die every other day for an unspecified period of time, right around the times where I would log on and attempt to play. For me it was three different times, which killed the momentum.
To hell with the gold orders this event offered, I stopped at the final squad.
Events are, first and foremost, a way to encourage players to play the game.
Usually, this involves incentivizing players to play a certain way or participate in the event in exchange for in-game rewards. These “rewards” vary in the context of a game. Powerful gear and/or a massive exp boost in RPGs, or ways to alleviate the grind by supplying otherwise sparse materials or outright providing the thing players straight up desire.
In a way, this is a means for developers to encourage playtime and foster goodwill among players.
However, it can be twisted around and the event parameters are so tedious and/or time-consuming that what could have been something perceived as a positive will be seen as a negative. Especially when the event includes some rare otherwise unobtainable item that will likely never be seen again in the future.
Especially moreso when the event grind can simply be skipped by paying for it- Which may or may not have been the goal.
The funny thing is, technically, no one is compelling players to go through the event, but why do players complain about the long grind?
Simple. Because it introduces some rare good that is Free*, but was intended to be monetized all along. The feeling that you are being kept from something that had a series of arbitrary and onerous requirements that burden you for the duration of the event feels less like a “reward” for participating, and more like compensation for the commitment.
There isn’t any feeling of good will between the developers and players.
Only good riddance.
If the goal of an event is increased player participation, then it should be far less arbitrary in nature, with a reward that is proportionally appropriate to the effort exerted.
But here, have something that is essentially a reskinned premium StG 45 and AS-44 Model 4 squad without the benefits of a premium squad.
Instead of giving players rewards that alleviate the grind in an otherwise very grindy game, the event just increased the grind. I hope the devs never pull this ever again.
I miss tiny, simple events where all we got were small but funny cosmetics.
Missing the event wouldn’t be a big deal. Doing it was fun because the requirements weren’t exaggerated. Content wasn’t really fomo, as it was just some funny decals. Not powerful squads available once…
Yes. This is the first time here, that I don’t see ANYONE saying “this was a good event”.
Truth is, it wasn’t fun. At all. And during the holidays…
Even though I finished all stages, halfway the event stages I already started to hate this event, too much time consuming grind for not so good rewards overall, I really feel tired after this one.
Same as others all finished yesterday for me, even did the last few tasks.
On the event, i feel, that running one during holidays is good idea, to keep people playing,
not all are out receiving presents etc
Was only one day out of it all i felt like, PC should go out 5 story window,
But other wise, all went well, most task were done before the 10 matches.
The Grind
dose anyone remember Lineage II, now that’s grinding,
was part of the attraction here, for me, was a long grind,
people don’t seem to like grind, they just want instant action, this is not that game, unless you pay.
Also find, that i find it hard to just log on and play a game, if there’s no incentive like a Event,
just seems to be pointless, unless there something to aim for
Log in to play for fun, what’s that? died long ago
I would really enjoy some peaceful events. The rewards dont have to be crazy. swords and decals would work fine
You guys managed to finish it all?
I got my lil fir trees decorators and called it a day ![]()
Dude I dropped that shite and enjoy my holiday with my family instead…
