So here’s the idea, bring back the old style premium/battle pass weapons shop and get a token system going:
1-“Weapon mastery” = First 1000 (or 2000…) kills with a particular tech tree weapon gets you a token and you can use it to buy a weapon of choice from the premium shop, like back in the day with gold and such.
2-make a “arsenal” or “depot” section where you can see ALL your weapon stocks and it shows like for example: 20 mp40s / 12 free/8 assigned to soldiers in such and such squads – same with owned vehicles and skins, and integrate progression view to the “weapon mastery” from point 1, also progression view in tech tree under each weapon
From my point of view, this:
-gives people a reason to play most classes, all BRs, all nations
-gives people a reason to keep things spicy and play a lot and jumble up their builds
-gives the game more consistent numbers of players I would assume
-gives nice rewards for consistent decent play

I support your suggestion. I really don’t like using lottery to get old Battle pass weapons. They don’t even have a mechanism in place
For example, after reaching a certain number of lucky draws, you will receive the redemption card, which you can use to redeem anything.
However, they did not implement this mechanism, they will only lead players into an abyss without a bottom …

very well thought of, i was thinking along the same lines for a long time.
now, most people wont want only meta players with 1 off prototype meta guns running around, also gaijin pumping up 3-4 “skinned” versions of guns / year is sleazy cheezy and frustrating as they devalue the chances of getting something decent from lootboxes
ive ranted on forums a couple of times about a need for kinda permanent progression past daily battle pass missions and random events, although most are welcome there should be a permanent way to get some sort of tokens as you put it and be able to eventually get something more exclusive
possibilities are many, romanian / hungarian / finnish / french / polish weapons, skins, squads, vehicles, but adding those will eventually make the battles look like a clownshow like the chinese event / premium squads running around in europe battlefields so there needs some thought in it, but at the very least a shop to buy some exclusive weapons / squads / vehicles beside the lootboxes, someone who has played this for years regularily already has everything unlocked, no need for extra silver, they either hold on to it or spend it on lootboxes anyway but for someone more casual, newer player, youre right that it’s an uphill battle
and really i think you can totally be effective only with tech tree squads and weapons, but some premium/exclusive ones are definately an advantage to have
