It’s hypothetically possible that a straight pull Mannlicher action sniper rifle was used during WW2 but I have not yet found evidence of it at the moment.
Kind of a side note but I’m not even entirely sure the Mannichers allowed you to keep ADS while operating the action in the first place, but I guess it’s kind of plausible enough to hand-wave it so that Germany has something that does.
Would you be open to possibly having the cycle while aim down speed removed for it? The enfield p14 T is a similar weapon i have used and that would be even better with 10 rounds
Having to reload bullets one by one is a big enough downside.
If each bullet only takes ~0.7s to load, that will end up in a total of ~8.5s with animation start and end counted as well.
That’s well within reason to be BR2.
The issue is the fact it can remain scoped while operating bolt.
Nothing forces you to fully reload it, so the ~8s aint constant.
Sure reloading just less rounds mean you dont have the 10 rounds in there but it doesnt exactly mitigate the fact it can remain scoped while firing.
And when ever I bother with the snipers, I just switch to other bot and let them do the reloading.
I did not consider this, simply because I dont believe that this would be worth a whole BR difference.
But if you insist, the fire rate could be tweaked to keep the rifle for your BR2 expectations.
Yet there are no British sniper squads in TT, what a disaster.
I wish I could have British sniper and rifle squads. I hope they will be added to TT one day.
Imo its significantly better than having 10 rounds.
And generally, low BR’s might need a thing or two but snipers arent exactly what the low BR’s need.
