Might be a nice change of pace to change the lighting.
In addition perhaps add more random weather effects(fog, heavy snow, rain). The potential variables(night with fog, day with snow, dusk with rain) could really shake up the map rotations and being a slew of whole new experiences to existing maps.
Of course the majority of matches would be as they are now so pilots can have fun. Just occasionally change things up.
Not sure how bots work but perhaps cut down their visual alert to enemy distance for low lighting?
Also perhaps alter bots alert to directional audio cues(foot steps, nearby vehicle sounds) more with low light maps? They would simply look around or look in direction of audio cue.
Id start with different weather instead. Because right now there’s problems with lighting: sometimes there’s nuclear bloom, other times it’s tar black…
Not a fan. Zovad map in BF4 at night almost everyone runs w flir and it defeats the purpose.
Now spot lights, flares and light from fires, lightning or explosions is a different story. Perhaps Engineers could build spot lights for night battle.
When Fortified district was introduced for the first time they said that the snow storm can be implemented on other maps too in the future. So hopefully we will see that happen someday.
Yes I really live this map For that weather effect reason. How the snow flurry gets bad then better randomly. Very immersive and nicely changes how the map plays.
Thing is that medium to “large”-scaled battles in the night were not common for obvious reasons. Most of time those battles were infantry-based raids or infiltrations (and we already have dawn and dusk maps in Russia iirc).
