The same way you can’t destroy icons in Churches, you cannot lay a finger on a torii gate either.
Both in game and in reality.

Revamps on old maps mostly focus on improving the gameplay of said maps, but of course they get aesthetic improvements too. And new assets added to revamps will match the theater it is in, if new assets are added. Of course players will also give feedback about them too, which will be considered as always.

Map developers massively consider feedback when making and adjusting maps, and there are, as always, a great many map/mission adjustments coming in this major update - you’ll see soon.

It would be good if they removed Confrontation mode and brought back Train Assault mode; even a permanent zombies mode would be better than Confrontation mode.

Then why not add more assets that are in line with history, region, culture, climate, soil and vegetation distribution to the New Frontline - Manchuria Map?

It seems like somebody dug up technical documents of the Type 2 6.5 assault rifle and the magazine capacity is incorrectly set to 20 rounds when it should be 30 rounds. Can this be examined before the major update please?

Unrelated, but the real name of the gun also seems to be “Type 2 Model Ko” so maybe changing the name to “Type 2 Ko” would be a better name for it

It would be good if they divided everything into AXIS VS ALLIES and made the squads customizable to your liking, and let you choose the theater of operations.

I don’t think we’re actually getting Harbin city, right?

Rather some lookalike Manchuria locations.

As far as I know there was no actual Battle of Harbin, and Soviet forces simply entered without any resistance.

I am taking Harbin as an example. A lot of cities in Manchulia has their model of that era. Besides, according to the map, our beloved developers made a city with Russian elements, near a river and has city railway trains. Harbin had all of them at that time, and the railway trains were fairly rare in China at that time, only the critical cities would had.
What’s more, I don’t think it is a big problem if the city in this game will be Harbin. In the COD World at War, developers made a city map of Shuri castle in okinawa. But according to history, the IJA abandoned the castle before marines reached it. It can’t be a matter to make a compromise like this, since this game has already release a lot of experimental weapons to us.

From what I see the map is heavy inspired by Harbin.

I like how you did the Type-11 tram cars however they where more common in Dalian:


So the map is a bit of combination of Entire Manchuria but I think will be nice if you add the hotel building if you wanna give more General view you can barrow it from the Burma map since its very similar the Yamato Hotel:


Can be added to the the map. However they where chain of hotels so if you have time and resources you can add the Harbin Yamato hotel :

You can see the lack of roads to give you more clear picture the city looks a bit too industrialized for Manchuria.


Around the center of the city should be more roads and at the outskirts the road can be missing.

However if its more Harbin the city can be more industrialized and have even factories and train station and less trolleys but they where trolleys so I cant say how much is too much :smiley: :

Since the transportation was more horse and human drawn wagons and a train station.

But over all great map it looks a combination between Dalian and Harbin I’m looking forward Mutanchiang with the destroyed railways and more destroyed city:

The picture on the left do not look like a permanent fortress, more like a burger aimed at the resistance fighters and uprise from the local. Not sure this kind of burger could appear on the border.

WHAT BR will this be playable at?

Obviously all BRs. They wouldnt put ussr vs japan just for high br and we already have late war maps in low br and early war maps in high br

Btw there is no new customization presets
USSR uses Berlin customization, and japan still uses their usual customization

This looks like Moscow or Rizev, but okay, the rest are very cool and beautiful, I can’t wait to do a Kamikaze Attack with my D3A1 in an IS-2.
