New Different Face Direction Command System for Bots

when i mean face direction, i mean the command setted on V, which will make your bots facing one direction and engage if enemy are present in that situations.

Current Issue:

unfortunally, this brilliant command it’s a bit… i don’t know how to describe it, but… i’ll just say that it’s one of the usefull comand for the bots, especially combined with the new bots formations, but it’s still lacking of something. like, it’s generally confusing for a few reason. end ends up being tidious.

anyway, as i said, the button it’s v, and the problem with it, it’s that button has already been assigned to Spot Marker. in a game where everyone use markers, it gets complicated. as your screen will be filled with marks.

those marks, sometimes are " useless " for the first appearance. meaning that sometimes we find marks in places where technically shouldn’t be. placed by some players. and it’s most likely dued to someone that ordered their bot to look at that direction.

plus, people gets angry because of " missplaced " markers.

so we finally arrive at my main point of this post:

Main Idea

so, in order to fix the previous part, i would suggest to make a new whole system for it.

  • The Command Button for this option should be different from the Spot button.
    so, ideally, the Spot button it’s On V, mainly used for spotting, while this order should be placed on another key.

  • the Command Mark should only be seen by the player ( user ).
    in order to avoid like the current situations where everyone use markers to spot enemies or tanks at at the same time, giving to the bot the command to watch that area, ending up making the whole team confused. and cease the current uncesserary " spam " of markers.

  • The Marker Color Of the command button Should be different from the Spot Marker
    fairly simple, maybe yellow? as in the minimap, your squad mates are yellow too.

so this is generally my idea. if anyone thinks that i missed something, let me know.

I agree to the directional facing. It is a must need when clearly there is gunfire in a certain direction and theyre facing the opposite. “Must be my imagination”

Another I want to add is custom squad formations. Assaulters in the front, support in the rear that kind of thing.

I dont want a radioman to be up in the front and gets shot because hes the first one.

Also the guard here command needs a revamp of how far you can go before they cancel the order and follow. I dont understand how you can leave them at a objective and go so far and they dont cancel. Its like the devs know they are just there as cannon fodder and dont care.
