The M2 doing NINE DAMAGE for an SMG very much concerns me, however.
Nope. Mp35/1 and PPD40, neither of which seem worth it at campaign level 21
Also SVT-38/G41 “engineer 2” squads at lvl19
and infantry support tanks (Pz4E/T28) at lvl20
I merely saw description of new premium squads (aka clones of existing premium squads with all we hate on them included) and could guess that it was a bad idea.
We will see about that in future days but Im not keeping my hopes or expectations high.
Ok update: M2 is OP:
10.8 damage fully upgraded, at ~500-580RPM
No other significant downsides other than maybe the “small” 20rd mag and steep damage dropoff (it does less damage than the normal SMG at 100m+)
Also they once again gave the allies +20% damage, but this time on the SMGs.

Hyde is p dogshit so far. I prefer the Grease Gun.
MP28 is what the Moscow MP28 should be.
They brought the damage down to match the M3 with a hotfix like an hour ago. Now it only has a higher rate of fire in return for more recoil and smaller mag, which is perfectly acceptable as a premium SMG.
Now for them to nerf the MP41…

MP28 is weaker than the MP40.
And I am merely comparing the premium guns to their free counterparts, instead of comparing the SMGs of the different nations to each other.
If I were to:
The american SMGs do 6.8 damage, meaning you do 13.6 damage with a 2-tap on the torso, which is enough to down people at least. Meanwhile, the MPs need 3 hits to kill just like the M3s, but cannot down on the second hit.
In regards to the MP28 though, we shouldn’t bitch. Because they’ll just buff the Hyde instead.
Well if you think the MP28 is gonna be bad, wait for full MP40 squads I suppose.

The MP40 being the MP40 is fine because everyone can grab one. I’m upset they got rid of the Thompson.
Yea, they gave USA 2 shotguns, leaving no room for the thompson. The thompson could be an excellent 50rd-drum heavy SMG as well, with a veeery long reload to balance it out.
