After playing with it for a little over a month, it’s OP AF, period. It’s the 2nd most P2W squad after the F-80/A-5. The thing is, why the Kugelblitz specifically? I mean, it would make sense as an event vehicle, but premium? Why didn’t Gaijin just add the Wirbelwind, which would make much more sense? It just feels too overpowered, especially at a downtier (BR2). i once ended with almost 250 kills and 10 vehicle kills. İts nuts.
Its great in a down tier but if it faces tank of its same BR or higher it really starts to struggle.
If the enemy refuses to make use of their tanks entirely then yea they are asking to have a bad time.
If you know what you’re doing and you have good teammates, even in BR 5, the tank shreds. Once, there was a US player who kept circulating between the Meteor F, F-80, and P-47, and I got him like 25 times.
My main complaint is the model here. The addition of SPAA was an excellent idea; I was fed up with the US CAS spam, but the Kugelblitz is just too OP. Its 30mm HE rounds can clear buildings easily, while its competitor, the Stink, sucks at it. its just too much. The amount of explosive packs I’ve had thrown at me, only to get away with yellow tracks, is insane. With the Wirbelwind, it would be more fair since it has an open top, making it susceptible to infantry and CAS.
But then it would just suck compared to the skink which has none of the downsides attached to it.
can do more damage with a pz 3n btw, yes it’s very pay to win
None of the downsides? You sure? The Stink can’t clear buildings and can’t take out any tanks at BR 3 (except open-tops), and it has the annoying magazine system that you have to reload every 10 seconds, unlike the Kugelblitz, which is belt-fed. I mean, yes, the Stink would have the advantage of being a closed-top tank. Outside of that, it would be on par with the Wirbelwind.
A bigger 75mm still has some upsides over the fast 30mm as the bigger HE does reach futher into rooms allowing you to better bounce the explosion of walls and hit soldiers that are in cover aswell.
It really depends on why you are shooting at.
Open ground with entire squad out in the open? 30mm is better
A room with only limited angles to snip into? Or soldiers hidding behind the walls next to the window?
A 75mm can hit the backwall aswell and clear the enire room at once.
Meanwhile the 30mm could .
I believe the 30mm (just like tank in general) seam more OP than they actually are as they excel at killing clueless teams but lose a lot of power against good team were cover /blocked sightlines is used more effectively used.
I don’t know what kind of logic went into this thought… having open ground allows for the HE to have its max effect, whereas the building it would get disrupted a lot… meanwhile you can just spam the window of said building and have less overall HE which is made up by the output.

I don’t know what kind of logic went into this thought…
If my HE can only reach something like 2 meters from impact a limited angle might not always allow you to hit targets in cover were the closest hitable wall/ surface is more than 2 meters away ( or entirely missing with the collapsed ruins in normandy for example) and no amount of volume of fire will change that fact.
The 75mm gun just doesnt need to be that close and thuse is less reliant on good line of sight towards the enemy (something open terrain certainly gives).
Dont understand me wrong here, I am not denying that the kugel is strong but I do not share the conclusion that it is ridiculous OP just because the enemy is playing like lemings.
