My 2cents about how berlin is adding new map

There is an entire city with iconic location still to do, and we get the countryside outside the city, im a bit deluded and sad, we end to get some poland map before the reichstaig map at this rate

A small note

More outside berlin it mean maybe the berlin campaign can become the entire brigation?

I m just tired of that train map. I don’t find pleasure playing it. Lately I rather disconnect and move on…

I still can’t pin point the reason why.

Indeed, I liked Berlin more as the closest possible battles, tall buildings, minimal fields.
But lately we have been getting only new fields (or rather old ones).

i am so happy that devs listen to the community and add all requested features and map locations. i specially like train mode, conquest and assault. specially when i am in bot team. it gives me so much pleasure to play those modes.

New map looks interesting

Of course id take Reichstag over it but still.

The train mode for me is just meh, maybe it would work better in moscow

But Werbig Station as a map is very good, and can have some intense and at the same time slow battles.

Some maps that are a must tho:
Reichstag

More fortified areas of Seelow heights. Trenches bunkers, plenty of obsticles.

Tempelhof airport

I was actually surprised to see we’re getting a new Berlin map and I’m really looking foward to it. I know other people wanted different maps/ locations in mind; but I’m sure we will get those maps eventually

after all, it’s much easier to modify what’s already present rather than creating from scratch.

I suggested the train more as a secondary object, but not the main one, and on the map of Moscow.
In any case, the armored train looks raw, and I hope it will be improved.

2 year and still no reichstaig and flak tower, but yes lets waste time with armored train escort map variation, obliviusly we are not happy

The map is bad already from rhe first image, look at those tank wreck around the bridge are artificial cover for the infantry, so it mean infantry need go in the river and they get sniped from the other side

Berlin D-DAY

nothing that some tank or smokes can’t handle
( or planes ).

might be a bit biased, but everything that has to do with the selow heights map, hasn’t disappointed me yet.

( aside from the small train modes. i much prefer the longer one )

offer somewhat of gameplay for all ranges. and, they look pretty.

p.s. only ugly d-day, is the second one where it’s a tank fest. the other one ( and only one i should say, ) is ok.

Normandy hasn’t taught you anything from what I see, just because it can be done one way doesn’t mean it can always be done, especially when one of the two factions is overpopulated if it were that easy, in every map of D-DAY and ver-sur the allies would always take the first point but it is not!

overpulation is not really an issue regarding map layouts.
( or has anything to do )

if anything, normandy clouded your judgement over other maps :confused:

( plus, you’re forgetting that before the panther, the allies used to steam roll while getting the first, up to the last point in at least 10 minutes. )

Let tank camp on hill sure is not map faoult, or in base of what bunker you have to conquer you cant flank using side bunker is not a map foult, and im sure wen in the new map attacker are obbligate to swarm the river under some tank wo spam HE on them on a high place im sure is not map foult

no. causation =/= correlation.

it’s that simple.

instead, what you are reffering or calling for, is related to different issues.
one and foremost, player’s mindset which you can’t do much about it.
the other one, is lack of free to players ability to have both tanks and airplanes. and last but not least,

you can, pretty much just do that. although people does not.
because they either camp, or go always in the straight line closer to the objective.

so… yeah.
has nothing to do with the map layout.

as i said, i haven’t found a map with too many issues beside ver-sur in it’s entirety where it could get a bit more of cover in many places as it is more open than others, but for the rest, that’s quite good.

If the map stop you to flank, but dont stop enemy to camp is the map foult

Tunisia the map with small fortress

  • no one do it, because no one know, but you can place AA gun on the mountine in the first point wo is defender playable area but is attacker grey zone

Berlin,reich cancellery

  • The corridor wo let AA build in

Moscow,quarry

  • The map were tank have camp because the map force them

Stalingrad, train station , univermag

  • You have camper room

So dont say me the map layout dont help camper, because is false, some map are heated exactly because camping is the only way to play them

Ver sur is the only map were attacker can flank in defender grey zone withaut get blocked by a grey zone and yes is the most easy map, but no one flank everyone gon straight to the cap

beside… i don’t play tunisia. so i don’t really know about that one.

but… does it really harm the gameplay flow to a point where simple tank or plane can’t shoot that?

mhhhh… more like an issue of the map layout? or the ability to able to place AAs in doors?.

beside, in berlin flies alot of grenades so… i my self never have too many issues with that said place because there are windows and you can go outside to chuck one frag inside.

smokes, and grenades does the job done.

one to blind one, and the other to clear it from those pesky campers.

if not, use a bomber plane. 70% of the times get the job done.

considering that you are supposed to play the objective, not really.

it’s not like it’s says anywhere near that you have to camp on a hill to play the objective.

tanks, for how much they can fire from distance, they ain’t gonna prevent major pushes and can get it’s view obstruccted by smokes.

sure, he can dab HEs in the smoke. but players can be smart and use the HE as a diversion.

it’s not really that i have ever whitnessed a bs to a point where it’s utterly unplayable.

you have the tools. it’s up for the players to adapt and use what they have.

it’s not like devs should make it easier for both ?
spoon-feeding it’s the worse thing that enlisted can have.
and it’s getting in that way, but that’s another discussion for another time.

for how much it’s related to this thread, i don’t think map layouts are bad.

and the one that is being announced, if i’m being honest, i’m not seeying too much to get a clear picture as i haven’t played it yet.

i kinda like the asthetic, but can’t speak for gameplay.

guess they have a choke point like maeky forest.
