So i was looking at the Mp40 stats compared to the Berreta m38/42 and realized it makes no physical sense for the Mp40 to have worse stats than the Berreta M38/42 when it comes to recoil contol, horizontal or vertical recoil as the Mp40 has a slower RPM than the Berreta m38/42 and weighes half a kilo more than the Berreta m38/42, this isnt a call to nerf either or just for anyone who understands physics and firearms does that make any sense? The only thing i can think of is the wooden stock being why it has better stats recoil wise over the Mp40 but still its a large enough gap im curious if others disagee in the logic.
You might want to double check that.
MP40 get 70% recoil control while Beretta 38/42 get 60%, thats 10% less recoil control which is very much noticeable. The higher the recoil control the better actually so even though the MP40 has more nominal “statcard” recoil, the recoil you have to deal with is effectively lower than with the Beretta.
Yes i just realized that, i apologize for that as im used to anything below reload speed with a higher number to be worse, though on the stat card i still find it odd having slightly worse stats excluding recoil control % as i would have expected lower RPM = better full auto stability with a heavier gun though i may be wrong entirely aswell.
weight alone is not going to reveal everything about recoil.
The weight distribution, the grip the soldier has on the gun and the gun´s ability to “absorb” the recoil matters far more actually.
True enough, i did my own research and found that historical accounts are that the mp 40 is better off the line but the Berretas wood stock actually held up as the Mp40 folding stock was prone to bending or becoming loose under heavy fighting apparently though firearm durability isnt taken ito account in Enlisted nor is reliability.
