MP-761(a), Captured M1921 Thompson for a event Thompson for Germany (Redux)

This is a remastered version of my previous suggestion, A alternative Thompson for br 3 Germany: The 1921 Thompson with 30 round mag (MP-761(a)) but I felt it wasn’t really that well done, so I’m remaking it

In 1939, the French order about 6,000 M1921 model thompsons, with 3,000 making to France. However, after it’s fall, while some ended up in the hands in Vichy France, some ended up in the hands of Germany soldiers, like shown in this image

And seeing how Germany lacks an event Thompson for themselves, I believe the M1921 with 30 rounds would be perfect for Br 3.

Take two?

Yup. We’re making Part 2. Soon part 3

Wow, a 3BR—or maybe it could be 4BR? With a fire rate of 1040… meanwhile, the US tech tree has Thompsons at 4BR with a fire rate of 800.

The 1921 model has the fastest rste of fire compared to the other Thompson due to the bolts, bit, is less controllable

Why are you all so hung up on trophies?

I’ll let you in on a secret: you can find plenty of trophies—an MG-42, for example.

Yes. French soldiers frequently used captured German MG-42 machine guns toward the end of World War II. For instance, during operations in the Alps in January 1945, French troops employed these captured weapons.
Date of photograph: January 1945 (World War II). Location: Alpine Front, a mountain outpost on the Franco-Italian or Franco-German border.

I still prefer this Thompson over any other Thompson variant for Germany:

I think it would be cool if Germany got this but the fact the best low BR Thompson for USA is a Chinese one is a little odd to say the least (the squad is still cool IMO). Do I think some of USA’s BR 4 Thompsons are overtired yes (the M1 and M21/28 (Box Magazine)), but that doesn’t mean Germany or anyone else can’t have nice things.

Italian event assaulter squad with it… boom

because honestly event weapons as a concept kind of suck imo… you get one or more recently two and then have to wait a year to get enough for a full assaulter… which the purpose of that is to create rarity but i’m quite frankly bored of using the stuff in tech tree.

Auto Ordinance still make Thompson’s today as I bought one new in November 2017.
I left it locked in a gun cabinet in the US with my son since the Philippines kind of frowns on foreigners having semi auto’s in their possession.

Long barrel for US gun law reasons?

Yup, ATF. Shortening your Auto-Ordnance M1 rifle barrel below 16 inches turns it into a Short-Barreled Rifle (SBR), which requires an approved ATF Form 1, a $200 tax stamp, and receiver engraving. I was going to do it, but I thought about having to engrave my name on the gun would ruin the appearance, so I never did it. It is basically my kids now since I more then likely won’t be moving back to the US.

I also bought two 1911’s, one for my son for Christmas 2018 and one for myself. I think the Thompson was $1,200 plus change in 2017, and the 1911’s were somewhere between $650-700 back in 2018. They also make an MP40 clone that I was going to buy, but not that I’m retired living abroad. My kid told me to buy it and he would watch over it for me. He knows it would end up being his eventually.

You can also get the Thompson through Auto Ordinance without the stock and the 10" barrel, which they call the Thompson Pistol. I had thought about buying the Thompson pistol, then buying the stock separate and then I would have the short barreled M1, but then again, it would be illegal without ATF approval.

I love how Americans have “pistols” legally because of the ATF, well you only live once may as well enjoy life!

America has a population of roughly 350 million people, and I saw a figure that said there are 393 million weapons (legal) owned. Before I moved, I had a Thompson, 1911, SKS, a WW2 Japanese Type 99 rifle, my fathers old single shot rifle and a Ruger 9mm I got for my late Filipina wife.

This is why the US will never be invaded. Even if you could defeat the military, almost every citizen is packing.

The T-24 machine gun from the premium squad is inferior to the MG-42 and even the RD-44. I didn’t even bother buying the T-24 it isn’t worth the price, as its stats fall short of the counterparts available in the research tree.
