Move Breda PG (Carcano) to BR III

While you’re taking your second shot, I’m dropping you with my first.

I’ve got 7 Winchester 1907s, what, are they supposed to be moved to BR 4?

Is there going to be any actual argument, other than your personal experience, which usually doesn’t count as an argument in a discussion?"

Just a reminder that the Breda PG Carcano was given out in the TUNISIAN CAMPAIGN event, specifically the Tunisian one, and the weapon pool there was right around BR 2–3, which is relevant right now.
And it didn’t break the game.
It’s not in the research tree; right now it can only be rolled from veteran supply boxes.

I don’t like the FG42 because of the harsh recoil, but the FG42 model 2 is fine because it’s manageable, I also mostly use the FG42 model 2 as a better Geweher 43 for engineers almost exclusively (because it feels like I spend too much ammo using this specific gun)

Not always. I also appreciate different options for players who prefer different stats

7 weren’t handed out in events, guy was trying to say because they’re rare they should go down a br. I was countering saying they aren’t that rare. And as you said, rarity isn’t really an argument for down tiering.

It’s way better than the 1907. 20 rnd detachable mags also isn’t the br3 standard for rifles such as these

When both players have equal, competent skills then yea you are 99% will lose that fight with Breda PG. You don’t get the chance to shoot the second shot. Actually, i think a player with BR 4 semi-auto rifle will win the fight even if they missed the first shot because some of them have a faster RoF like SLR 1944 with 380 RoF, for example. They will be able to shoot the second shot faster than Breda PG lol.

Well said. Hope you keep up that same energy when it comes to the uptiering XA-38.

On paper, Breda PG looks better. In actual in-game practice, they are not that different. Both needs a two shots to down a soldier with vitality(Breda PG has potential one shot down a soldier with vitality damage at 10m but Breda PG get to fight body armors so the higher damage doesn’t really shine). Also the Winchester 1907 has a bayonet so i wouldn’t even say that Winchester 1907 is worse than Breda PG to be honestly.

I’d rather the g2 just come back to make the german playerbase happy and shut up about the xa. There would be zero argument to be had at that point.

I’m not great with bolt actions and semi autos. I much prefer something more steady and something that allows for easier target acquisition. This gun does that for me. To be moved to br3, i believe it needs some nerfs in one way or another. I’d rather it gain some slight buffs and stay br4. We already have the pavesi in br3

yes, but, maybe maybe, just reduce change to get a breda PG in boxes

I don’t really care whether Bf110 G2 being BR 3 or BR 4 if i’m being honest here. All i care is that XA-38 does not belong to BR 3. Not with 4x 500 lbs and that speed. There are 2 attacker airplanes in the game that has this absurdly misplaced BR and that’s Su-2 and XA-38. They are the worst of the worst and their BR needs to be corrected.

We have fighters/small attackers with 2 500lbs/250kgs. It makes sense for a larger attacker to carry 4x. The g2 can do so much more to the ground in a single pass compared to the xa. If it gets down tiered then I’d say it achieves balance at that point. I also have no problem with the new jap attacker to be br3. It’s pretty hard to use effectively, with no frontal guns.

No argument on the su2 from me. It should loose 2 of it’s bombs.

Only makes sense if the said attacker is on BR 4. That’s the established standard for BR 3 attackers in general. It’s either 2 x 500 lbs, 2x 250 kg or 6x 100 kg for BR 3 attacker. But if one gets more bomb than that then it should have some severe downsides like BR 3 Ju 87 for example. It has 3x 250 kg bombs but it flies like a brick and loses all speed even when climbs up a little for resupply.

Also, you are using the fighters such as Ki-100 and P-51 with 2x 250 kg bombs as if it’s the standard. They are not. Most of other BR 3 fighters have either 1x 250 kg, 2x 100 kg or 4x 50kg. Fighters like Ki-100 and P-51 are not the norm, and if you ask me both of those fighters should be moved to BR 4 instead as well. Enlisted is in messy status when it comes to airplane BR but it shouldn’t be like this forever.

This is highly subjective and debatable. I don’t think that the most of people here actually thinks that Bf110 G2 able to do more damage than XA-38.

These are completely different guns in terms of their purpose and playstyle, especially after the recoil nerf. The regular FG 42 doesn’t really make sense anymore. It used to be a close-quarters weapon (up to 50 meters) that absolutely shredded up close, while at medium ranges you had to burst-fire it. The FG 42 II, on the other hand, was an all-rounder.
It’s a similar story for the USSR: the AVT-40 is a versatile, more forgiving weapon that requires less skill, whereas the AVS-36 was an absolute annihilator at close range but demanded way more control and burst-firing at a distance.

I feel like with how the Carcano current is that it should fit nicely in br 3, maybe with a little bit of nerfs. However if it does get buffed then it should probably remain in br 4.

Yeah, I agree, and the main point here is that something needs to be done. The suggestion to buff the damage for all Breda models got 41 upvotes, yet it was completely ignored. I really hope the developers will start moving in the right direction to fix this. They should either buff it, slightly nerf it and move it to BR 3, or just keep it as it is but definitely send it to BR 3, because right now the Breda is in absolute limbo. It just can’t compete at BR 4, but they aren’t dropping it to BR 3 either
