The Mitchell Sub-Machine Gun is An experimental NZ made prototype SMG made in 1943. This SMG was made by one Allen Mitchell A kiwi and it was presented to both the New Zealand military and the British Military both rejected it for issue with the trigger mechanism, an issue with over heating, and the folding buttstock fell off in testing. In 1944 an improved model was sent back for more testing and was rejected again. I suggest this weapon because enlisted is not opposed to having guns and vehicles that are unrealistic and I think it would be very nice to see a second Kiwi squad in game.

Only four prototypes were made in total and are now in possession of the Waiouru National Army Museum.
The Mitchell submachine gun was a cost-efficient blowback design with no particularly remarkable features. In place of a conventional cocking handle was a rounded retractable sleeve that wrapped around the receiver. The muzzle-end of the barrel was not rifled and was supposed to act as a rudimentary flash hider, but instead it had the reverse effect and gave excessive muzzle flash.
Looks like it was complete rubbish!

This is meant to be an undate with things I have been told to add, br2 I think it would be similar to the owen gun. The first design had a firerate of around 700rpm and the updated one had 800rpm. I would love to see this is the tech tree as I think a tech tree Kiwi squad would be very cool however I understand that is unlikely so I hope for this to be an event weapon accompanied with one of the many other Kiwi battalions from the 2nd World War, we don’t have that many common wealth squads in the tech tree I think only two so adding this to the tech tree would add more representation to the common wealth in game, for it being an event I believe that everyone should have a chance to get it eiither through an event or through the boxes and not lock it behind a paywall.
