The Tier 2 German Semi-Auto rifle needs a bayonet! The Armaguerra Mod. 39 needs a bayonet! It has the mount for one. I think it would be a good addition for the low tier Germans. Additionally the M1 Carbine on the Americans should also get a bayonet.
Yes - the Armaguerra/m1 carbine deserves bayonets!
No - Bayonets are silly and I don’t use bayonets ever!

The Soviets and Japanese should not be the only factions with low tier bayonets! Make it even for all and hand out them bayonets. Please.
This is silly, I use bayonets, I just dont want every weapon to have them. That is the trade of some weapons have. It is a fun way to balance some weapons like the Manlicher with its high ROF and the pre war Kar with its bayonet. Giving the Manlicher a bayonet just means it is always better than the pre war Kar.
Also, no it is not “historical” because soldiers were not going into battle with bayonets fixed like they did before WWII. Many weapons only had them because it was demanded by design specifications and had them as a mere formality (FG is a great example)
In real life the armguerra in 7.35 and 6.5 carcano both took standard carcano bayonets(that already exist in game). This is the only fair option considering the soviets get a bayonet on the Fedorov 1912 and due to the Higher damage the Fedorov would be the better gun.
I get what you’re saying but I’d say your argument is not valid. Have you looked at the firearms in the tech trees? Seems like half of these weapons were prototypes or never actually produced in major quantities. But we have an endless stock pile.
I think the best option would be to allow weapons to have the option to have a bayonet, then the player can decide if they want one or not on their firearm.
Hell the devs could even make it another item you have to pay silver lions for.
All of you seem to have skipped the first argument and went to the second. Please address the point about game balance first, as it is the more important point
Some rifles are better than others in the current game balance. The SMLE or Lee Enfield are better than the Ross, even with a bayonet, because they have double the ammo capacity. Or would you say the Ross would be stronger than either of those should a bayonet be added to the WW1 rifle?
I believe your point about balancing is incorrect and chose not to reply to it.
Why do some early semi-autos have bayonets and others do not? Why do some countries have almost all of their weapons bayonets equipped and others do not?
Look through the research tree and its plain to see.
Thus I think every firearm that can have a bayonet should have a bayonet!
When it comes to the bayonet issue, it’s not so much that Japan and the Soviet Union are being favored as it is that DF can give them to whoever they want. I’m also frustrated by this—surviving photos of weapons like the Lancaster clearly show that they were equipped with bayonets. Right now, DF has been dragging its feet on rolling out bayonet compatibility for all eligible guns, doling them out in batches. It used to be a unique feature exclusive to Japan, and only after several years did they finally give one to the Soviet Union. It’s truly laughable yet exasperating.
