Introduction
Due to the disgusting decision by the devs to introduce a Chinese premium squad to the USSR faction (to add insult to injury, with a despicable fake PPSh S at that), I have come up with an idea to work on a mod which would replace Chinese voicelines with Polish.
I was equally irritated with the introduction of Chinese squads to the Allies, as I did not want to hear Chinese language in Tunisia/Ardennes/Normandy, so I replaced Chinese with American English by making a respective mod: Chinese Voicelines Replaced By English Mod
However, now that we are forced to hear Chinese language in Berlin, and potentially Stalingrad and Rzhev for those who don’t quit high BR matches there unlike me, the American English voicelines would be just as weird there.
Solution
I have identified Polish forces to be most suitable as a replacement, since they fit best both for the USSR faction (as Polish People’s Army) and the Western Allies (as Polish Armed Forces in the West).
With all due respect to our Chinese friends, I would much rather hear Polish speech around me sometimes in Berlin, Normandy and North Africa.
Challenges
- I do not speak Polish, and while speaking Russian would help in most cases, some help from a Polish speaker probably would be nice. (@Ma_theos33 @Chris_Vector iirc you guys speak Polish?)
- I would like to avoid using anachronistic phrases/words while using BF1 voiceover as a base. For instance, there were quite a number of changes in military speech between WW1/WW2 in Russian, so I wonder if there is anything to look out for in terms of language changes.

Chinese soldiers did fight in Manchuria against the Japanese, it was a historical fact, and some did join in on many major battles in other places. Why do you think adding the squad to the game is a “disgusting decision”, aside from the obviously fictional weapon. Wouldn’t it be similar for the French to appear in the Pacific with the event squad as well.
You should also consider the appearance of soldier speaking Polish in Manchuria after installing your sound mod too
I do not intend to argue or something, I just want to ask about the intentions of this project because I am curious

I didn’t say they did not fight in Manchuria.
I would be more than happy if the game actually had Campaigns 2.0 with BRs, where the Chinese faction would fight the Japanese from 1937 to 1945, from Shanghai to Wuhan, from Changsha to Manchuria.
However, they most definitely never fought in Berlin (where this squad will appear), or Stalingrad/Rzhev (for those who don’t quit high BR matches there unlike me), or any other future (high/all BR) Eastern Front maps.
Do you have any sources about Chinese forces fighting anywhere on the Eastern Front?
I find it despicable for a WW2 game to actually incorpoirate Chinese squads into the Soviet faction, that just screams “fan service” and “cash grab”.
It’s not ideal, as many things in this “New Enlisted” are, but at least a case can be made that those French guys in the Pacific are the remains of their colonial presence:
It’s not ideal again, but I see it as lesser of two evils – you don’t really have the time to look in the faces of the friendly/enemy soldiers during a battle, but you’ll definitely hear “Wo cao! Ta ma de!” near you.
The visuals will have to be somewhat sacrificed, but alas:

Not that far off as Harbin was settled by quite lot of Poles, they only were later helped to go back to Poland by Chinese goverment after the war, and some are still living there.
Though Im sure they wouldn’t fight on the Soviet side, if anything Poland itself had really good relations with Japan and the only case of documented fighting between the two was just with one RAF Polish pilot in China
Please, no. I canonly think chinese/ussr collab is some kinda thing that is kinda not really good to begin with, adding polish vocals is like… i get enuff of that daily with my polish neighbour who thinks that everyone who lives here needs to hear her talkie talkies 24/7!
