MKB42H BR4 - its really not a good weapon

Crazy take

ZK-383, PPS43, Mas38 in close to medium range 50m+ better than STG44.

MKB42H gets beaten by practically all SMGs in the game unless at long range.

MKB42H 15 never should have been added, because 15 rounders never existed, as such it should actually be a 10 rounder Mkb42H - which would be pathetic even in BR1 - unless when making it a “general trooper” weapon, but even then - whats the point of such weapon?

MP40 kills faster than Mkb42H.

Not nearly as fast at range which with its role as an assault rifle is what it’s made for

yeh i do find it better over the Mkb 42H

hope Euthy sees this any it gets forwarded

Mkb42(H) was not moved to BR4 because other factions would also ask for BR4 assault rifles. That was an acceptable argument until Japanese Type2 (6.5) was not moved to BR4. There is no reason not to drop Mkb42(H) anymore.

@Euthymia07-live we fix our weapon mistakes in this game, don’t we?

And then people will whine because br2 or rather 1 assault rifle… “but the newbs!1!1!1”

There will always be someone whining about something

Doesn’t mean we should start inventing fake magazines for every weapon though

just because it is called an AR does not mean it is automaticly OP.
Germany already has the MKB35 at BR 2 which isnt to crazy given its rather limited rof. So for its longer reach you sacrifice a lot of killing power at close range.
An MKB 42 with only 10 rounds would let you at most kill 5 soldiers before reloading making it rather unreliable for CQC in an often very CQC centic game.

Totally wrong approach that’s not in line with reality.

The overall versatility significantly outweighs slightly slower TTK in specific situations.

As if the difference in TTK is what matters most. Usually, the one who starts shooting first will just wipe out the other squad, especially if you can tell which soldiers are controlled by players.

Not to mention, you’d have to always hit torsos for SMGs to be better. Which simply isn’t the case either.

Once your shot hits a leg or arm (due to dispersion or the soldier’s movement) your entire TTK advantage goes out the window. And you’ll waste more ammo.

Enlisted doesn’t differentiate the damage done on between torso and arms(This is not the case for like, 99% of FPS games out there but strangely it’s like this in Enlisted). They gets the same damage.

Thats how much I remember aswell, its only legs that have a damage reduction right?

Yes it is.

what? torso damage is def different from arm or leg damage LMAO

I disagree with you - but only to the extend that this is indeed map dependent.

Now I cant speak of you, but to me a high RPM SMG like Kiraly, ZK-383, MP41R beats Mkb42 in around up to 60m-80m combat basically always.

I remember back in Stalingrad campaign using MKB42 quite alot, but i ended up using MP717 primarily. Though, in certain situations MKB did shine, like attacking the train station from the railways - being able to counter snipe people attacking me from the windows was a nice ability to have, but this wasn’t necessary since you can always just do a flank and attack from destroyed buildings and force CQC battles.

I guess no - which is one of the reason 'hits to kill" feels predictable and reliable.

I remember loving Battlefield 3 damage model, also because arm damage is the same as torso damage - made close range bolt action one hit kills reliable.

Meanwhile “self-proclaimed” realistic Escape from Tarkov has HP pools for each body part, so that when you shoot someone from the side, you always hit his arms instead of his torso. Terrible - this changes a 2 hit kill into a possible 10 hit kill depending on weapon and ammo type you are using.

Realistically an arm will obviously not stop a bullet unless hitting a bone or something, so making the arms and upper body have the same damage multiplier is a great compromise, especially considering a shot through the heart would be just as lethal as hitting the head.

Now a problem about this however is that Soviet body armor also applies to the entire hit zone, despite only covering the front of the soldier.
