It’s not as terrible as you might think it is now, since they made the bullets can penetrate the arms and hit the torso some years ago(With reduced damage ofc)so the arms blocking all shots coming to the torso is less of problem now in EFT.
Well, there’s cons and pros for this. Since the damage model is much simplified this way, people will have much less impression that they thought they’d hit the torso of an enemy but in reality they hit the arms instead and then being confused how an enemy soldier survived from 4+ shots to “the torso”. Altho no small amount of people will question how getting hit on arms has the same lethality as getting hit on torso, claiming that it’s unrealistic.
Also having the same received damage modifier on arms-torso will punish peaking spams and peakers advantage to some extent. This is either con or pro depends on who you are asking i guess.
