Despite being called a machine carbine, the Mkb42(G) (Gustloff) was a self-loading rifle chambered in 8mm mauser with 10 round detachable magazines. It was designed to keep the German government happy while work on the other Mkb42 rifles were underway due to the initial skepticism around the 8mm Kurz cartridge.
This rifle should be balanced like the soviet SVT-38 so that Germany has a rifle that is more on par with the M1 Garands and SVT-38s they face at BR3
Wouldn’t it be easier to just make all tech tree BR3 rifles clip reload?
Right now only SVT-38 has magazine reload while all other BR3 semi-autos must reload via clips so changing SVT-38 should be easier then adding a magazine reloadable semi-auto for all other 3 factions.
Same one it one kill or down 8 vs 10 round magazine I assume this guy will have a slower reload than the garand otherwise it’s equal the same as segregation sperate but equal ,worked, in america
Power creep would be like giving factions 15 round semi auto rifles like the Hino rifle at BR3. It’s not power creep if I’m asking for 1 faction to be brought up to the standards of the other factions.
Thinking about this, I think top BR2 SMGs are generally more effective in medium range combat than BR4 semi auto rifles - so maybe instead of nerfing all BR3 semis to have clip reloads, buffing BR3 semis could make more sense.
Yes, but PPS43 and Thompson will most likely not get any nerfs, considering they even buffed Jap SMGs.
To be honest, I can understand the devs when they give lower gear more power - new players dont stick long to the game when all they have is bolt actions…
However that being said, the devs could also add semi auto carbine pistols to BR1 TT for keeping those new players inside the game. You know, like Artillery Luger with a stock - such guns as alternatives to bolt actions wouldn’t hurt the game at all.
