Vz. 28/L — 731 Lewis guns (chambered in 7.92mm Mauser) formerly used by the Czechoslovak infantry were modified to aircraft (or anti-aircraft) machine guns.

I am going to say this the MK1 Lewis gun in game is ugly as sin and it does not have to be, it looks worse than many of the makeshift Lewis guns converted for infantry use. The French, Czechs, Dutch and even the uk got it correct. a full length handguard that is a work of art unlike the hunk of wood we got. if not for all about the Lewis i would have though the english the only ones unable to make a lewis properly. I know its petty but look at that and look at the alternatives and tell me its not a crime.
to be clear there are worse designs but also far better ones than the ones we got in the game. I may just be a snob but i look at the deign in game and i think but why. why was this chosen out of all the models that could have been in the game. Why this half grip because four more ounces would break the camels back.
We know the source of the model, the home guard Lewis most likely mean for bothering German planes. its a fitting gun for a militia unit mean to defend if Germany ever invaded the UK. but it does not scream d-day assault.
this gun its the best lewis mk1 with better sites, the Lewis gun all about the lewis showed had bad sites. the front sites were lower than the magazine one thing the in game gun did correctly. that and giving it a proper rifle butstock so two things.

I take it all back thompson hand guard 10 out of 10 design. it Is literally the third design second without a shroud on imfdb. So we could have done worse than a lewis with a thompson grip.
