It is on the whole similar to the Mle 22 from which it differs only by a few modifications in particular: Loader above and addition of a rate retarder.
Characteristics :
Gas-borrowed weapon, equipped, like the Model 22, with a bipod, stock stand and shoulder rest and carrying a flash hider.

Modifications made compared to the FM Mle 1922:
Shortening of the weapon by 10 cm, obtained by reducing the respective lengths of the breech box, stock and flash hider.
The FM MAS Mle 1922 will be in competition with the FM Browning, Berthier, Hotchkiss, Madsen and MAC.
On 25 October 22, the distribution of the 75 weapons to be shipped will be as follows: 46 short-barreled weapons and 31 long-barreled weapons. The leaflet is also ready for printing at the end of October and will be printed during the month of November in 600 copies.

M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle at its time was a revolutionary weapon that served for decades in multiple armies. The Swedish began experimentation Kg_M1921 the curved magazine shows the change in caliber the stock and pistol grip are also different from the 1918 progenitor. The Swedish also examined the French Fnd renaming it the teh KGM M35. Latter they developed the m/37 variant with a quick change barrel.
The French on their own developed the prototype FM MAS Mle 1922/3 which eventually led to the FM MAS Mle 1924. the 1924 in game loads from the top unlike any other bar machine gun. The British as well attempted to develop their own bar before settling on the zb26 and its evolution including the bren. we can see six weapons all based on the 1918 bar all worth of respect.
The 2 Swedish guns were full military production weapons being swedish it is unlikley they saw much use outside sweden. this was more for a kind request as there is little need for germany or any other faction to get swedish guns. The french and british prototypes would make great event or battle pass weapons…
