When checking through all the semi automatics some campaigns the allies and Soviets have semi automatics hit harder then the Germans or Japanese.
Why cant smgs? German smgs hit harder than soviet ones too.
balance reasons And I’ll be happy just to have semi automatics work as they should be instead of the automatic spam.
And I don’t plan to be hung in the forms for speaking heresy.
Yeah sure I want a M2 Carbine with the same damage as the Gewehr 43 because it is classified as a semi-auto rifle.
That’s not a semi automatic that’s a Full Auto weapons this is talking about semi automatic not Full Auto weapons.
I know, but it is classified as a semi-auto by the game. Also the M1 carbine is only semi-auto so what would happened with this weapon?
It would likely get a buff and damage to keep it on par with against the full autos
Ok, gewehr 43 damage = svt-40 damage = garand damage, gewehr 41 damage = svt-38 damage > m1 carbine damage. Most semi auto damage is … Zh-29, so you want to nerf it?
No I just want all semi automatic rifles to be moved up to 13.0 damage in 100 meters.
Why exactly 13.0? Is it stock or full graded? Why should i move from svt-38 to svt-40 if they will have same damage? Making svt-40 and zh damage same you will nerf germans in Moscow and then will cry about russian bias.
Next time check info better.
It’s so semi automatics Rifles are not outclassed by Full Auto weapons by end game.
Curious.
I’d swear that every single time an enemy rifleman shoots me down it’s because he hit me first.
It turns out, instead, that it was all in my head, the class of the rifle is the only thing that matters, and all my present and past kills with BA and Semiautos are but the offspring of my imagination.
let make every weapon have same stats so we can kill every variety bcs it easier to code same thing
Ballance is not always symmetrical as in “all weapons have same damage”.
For example you can have a worrior wielding a big sword and a small shield and his opponent has a small sword and a large shield.
While the heavy sword is slower and heavier, you have a heavy shield that covers and stops the heavy blow efficiently.
On the other side the fast short sword meets an equally fast shield that is just big enuff to block it.
In many occasions, this is the kind of ballance we find in enlisted and other games.
Someone cares about the ZH?
The weapon type is not the only criteria to determine the damage of gun in this game. The bullet type also matters, M1/M2 carbine fires .30 Carbine which is weaker than normal rifle round.
Ever heard about the concept of “calibers”?
Intermediate cartridges should deal less damage than full rifle rounds - and since MGs of WW2 basically always also used the same ammunition of the standard issued Rifle of each nation they deal the same damage.
If the M1 Carbine would deal the same damage as the M1 Garand because both are semi autos, then should the M2 Carbine also deal the same damage since it used the same ammo of the M1 Carbine.
Same goes for Volkssturm Gewehr and Gewehr 43 chambered in 8mm kurz - they deal the same damage as the Stgs since they use the same ammo.
Basically the only exception here are bolt actions, but the difference is between one hit kills or one hit downs.
That’s all true but at the rate the game is going semi automatics have been left behind versus Full Auto weapons which is becoming the Meta.
Adding 0.1 or 0.2 to the damage of semi-auto rifle wont change anything to this. Weapons like Garand and Gewehr can already one shot opponent if fully upgraded, I don’t what you want to change.
The damage is there to cut through the Perks to stop people from rushing the objectives if you have a nice solid shot you can cut them down without any problem instead of magical vitality coming in to save the day.
