I like that this game tries to have a little realistic and immersive mechanics. AA and AT guns consume ammo and must be resupplied, giving them a sense of being crewed weapons. Logistics are the lifeblood of war. But MG Nests and Ampulomets have infinite ammo
MG Nests, HMGs, and Ampulomets should also consume ammo, instead of having infinite ammo. This adds more realism and immersion
What I think is the smartest choice, and most would be very happy with. It’s if they got rid of the stupid overheating mechanic for MG nests, and instead added a reloading animation and depletable ammo. It’s only logical. But there’s so many dumb things in Enlisted that could be simplified to be better for everyone, keep players content, and be more immersive. But they have their head stuck in a hole when it comes to moving forward and thinking beyond Enlisted’s beta days.
they do not have infinite ammo, all of the mounted MGs have 5000 rounds of ammo and the ampulomet has 100 rounds
Mounted machineguns are kind of bad anyway because you’re stuck in place firing them and they’re very easily just shot and destroyed, they don’t need nerfed
Well they certainly never show you that information
Personally I think that may seem like too much ammo as AA and AT guns have not too little and not too much so a dedicated Engineer has to constistntly resupply it. Yes MG Nests are very vulnerable and theyll probably get destroyed before it chews threw its ammo, but still. I think about 500-1000 rounds for MGs and maybe 20 Amps are more practical, unless if we give AA and AT guns thousands of rounds too
