What title says, those rifles are barely different from each other yet I cant equip an Enfield on a British assaulter instead of a Springfield rifle or I cant equip a vz.24 on a soldier that is using another Czechoslovak weapon. I think it would be a nice small change if every soldier would have a little bigger amount of rifles to choose from than default, as there isnt much to choose from especially for people who didnt played before the merge.
sure but they can only carry one primary that is an assaulter cant carry a smg/shotgun and a rifle if they want to carry a rifle instead of an smg or shotgun go ahead nerf youre squad but you dont get both thats the point of an assaulter there strong at close range but weak at long.

Assaulters already can use basic bolt action rifles as a secondary next to main SMG, and adding more choice with BR I rifles that are barely different from each other wont change much but make any loadouts more accurate.
Im also thinking about BR I itself where weapon options are also much less varied and it would make things way more interesting

Nope you are not making a point. if assaulters using bolt action rifle is ok, riflemen using br1/2 smgs is ok. that somehow an assaulter can carry both but a rifleman cant. so what magical power do assaulters have and what dark ritual do riflemen need to practice to get one.

sure if you want it for event assaulters last time i checked tech tree gunits or gurellias cant use rifles. a gunits are not assaulters any more than medica re there a separate class.

You could have a squad with 9 assaulters and make assaulter obsolete. Wait it’s almost like classes have distinct roles and should not encroach on other classes.
Id love my poxy riflemen to carry smgs. Would help me see them less than cannon fodder or the first to be zapped on star trek. I would love all to carry smgs. Id have a full deck of assaulters that also carry mortar, a spanner and a glass of voddie n coke with ice xxx
