i’ll start by saying that, it’s not actually the best title. i know.
but, basically,
the main suggestion
in my opinion, with this new machinegun, it would be cool the ability to hip fire it like flamethrowers.
allow me to explain better:
- let players able to hip fire at the cost of accuracy and aiming.
just like flamethrowers, players should be able to " aim " in hip fire, and able to shoot towards a general direction. While making the user slower as he moves and more vulnerable but still able to retaliate.
why?
well, my main focus wasn’t to " buff " this weapon.
but, To:
- introduce a cool and new realistic mechanic.
albe it not… entirely new, considering it exist on flamethrower, it would be new if applied onto this particular machinegun
one that primarily
2. benefits AI ( since, as proven with the S-18, they are unable to fire it correctly. They just stand up and try to shoot, but the weapon cannot shoot unless you are in a prone position and bots haven’t quite learned how to mount guns on surfaces either )
-
for mods
i can’t lie that the primary motive was in making this suggestion, is for mods.
being able to apply it on mg 34s, mg 42s and make them more mil-sim WHICH I’M NOT ASKING TO CHANGE FOR THE BASE GAME.
but since we are forced to use stuff that exists within the game, and cannot make new features… we are stuck and forced to ask. -
actual US doctrine
while it was still preferable to be used to provide support fire from a covered position and used mostly stationary, it did happened that such weapons were used to advance or retreat while hipfiring.
like bars were used from the hip.
- due to the weight of this thing, it would make sense be able to use it from hip fire
- Yes
- No
… and that’s kinda all.
