While this may be a simple post. I do agree with its effectiveness, It would make more sense for AI to grab medkits when they’re out of combat, especially if they’ve already wasted their med kit on being down which is 99% of the time. Not only would this net the player playing as the medic class more points because people are using their fortifications but it would also help players stay alive a little bit longer because they’re not stuck with soldiers that have wasted all of their medkits because they’re getting hit by a random explosions blast radius or stray bullets and are at 20% of their health.
So if someone needed a little more substance, here it is. I’ve given clear reason to why it would benefit the person playing as the class and the players utilizing the medbox as effectively as possible.
Then you will see people complaining about their ai go to some random places and get killed.
They already do that, so lets at least give them a purpose for why they decide to go on solo adventures.
So you want to make the problem worse? Please don’t give dev more excuse on implementing bad ai.

The stuff suggested will cause the ai to go to some random places and get killed. “They already do that” would not change this fact.
Even if dev become brilliant and fix the current ai, if this suggestion get implemented, they will still go elsewhere to get med kit nearby and get killed.
There’d obviously be conditions for the AI to follow…
<Don’t go more than 10/15m to aquire>
<Only go aquire when idle (no active more orders or trying to catch up with the player).>
<Don’t aquire medkits when threatened (using the same system recognition as “hold fire” does)>
<Don’t go to a different room to aquire>
Etc.
People can correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t there already code for the AI to resupply at the boxes…? It doesn’t come up much, because they have infinite ammo, but I could have sworn I saw one of my AI interract with a ammo box after I switched away from him due to low ammo…
Anyway, you’re making this a way bigger deal that it actually is, especially because…

When they are in a certain vicinity with a cooldown yes… don’t want to distract them too much
And this would be major for medic users… good point farm.
Do you really believe dev can code all this? Maybe we should wait for dev to fix basic stuff before moving to more complex stuff.

You use bad thing already happen so more similar bad thing will not be important as an excuse. Using the same logic, dev already lock Lewis .303 and Matilda behind event and premium, so they can lock more iconic British stuff behind event and premium since they already done similar stuff.
