To use War Thunder as a source (I am loathe to do so as to my knowledge there are some differences in the stats between the two games but, unless the Enlisted devs directly give us the stats, this is all we have), the KT’s HE shell actually has slightly more explosive mass (1kg vs 925g TNT equivalent) while its APHE shell has slightly less (109g vs 137g TNT equivalent). YMMV but I don’t think these differences in explosive masses are large enough to have a noticable effect in gameplay.

Funny that you mention, apparently this ass-ymmetrical balance wasnt so fun when GE had better ground equipment.
But now, when US has it better disregarding tanks all is fine.

M2 was always better on CQC than FG42, FG was better on mid-long range aka ass-ymmetrical balance,
Same applies to tommy vs stg.

The fG42 was stronger than the m2 the stg44 stronger than the Thompson what does the us have stronger then Germany outside of planes

And yet the extra-spaced armor protects the Super Pershing from Ofenrohr, Panzerfaust 100 and 88 from the Tiger 2H I should also mention that the Tiger 1E is in BR V

It has no additional armor because it has 150 and 180mm of armor
The super p again outside the shield that covers part of the turret has 100mm or less same as the Pershing both br5
I am comparing the stg44 and Thompson because before the hyde that’s all the us had at br5
