Stat wise, it’s just a BR 2 semi, with the only real difference being an 8 round mag. No nerfs are needed for its downtier.
In case for those who don’t know what this weapon is, it’s an old BP semi-auto rifle for USA.
It is basically a shortened version of M1 Garand with faster ADS speed but much lower hit power damage. One unique thing about this weapon is that despite being a semi-auto rifle, the tankers can use this weapon instead of the usual SMG, but that hardly justifies it should be BR 3 weapon instead of BR 2 weapon.
If I’m not mistaken, it was available in the Pacific campaign for a gold order. It’s a very rare rifle to come across.
This rifle is obsolete and requires reinforcement.
I wouldn’t be opposed to lowering this, but I do think it would need a slight adjustment just so it is not as shocking to BR2. On top of that I think it’s about time we got an event with more of these weapons available, to me all the old gold order weapons should be immediately stripped of what they are. Then they need to be re-implemented as event weapons not gold order or battle pass. You would still obtain battle pass weapons the same way they would just have a whole new symbol, and much later on have a alternate way of obtaining one through an event. This way nobody loses their weapons, and it makes it easier for all weapons in the game and vehicles to become obtainable. The stuff that they released for a one-time fomo would not be affected by this.
They were talking about that roughly two years ago, yet there’s no sign of such events for rare items.
What BR2 semi can be used by vehicle crews? Because I don’t know any.
It definitely shouldn’t be lowered to BR2.
Springfield M1903 (Pedersen device) can be used by tankers and it is BR 2 “semi-auto rifle”. It is considered as semi-auto rifle in the game, and all other BR 1 semi-auto, pistol-calibre carbines such as S&W light rifles, KB-P-135 and Beretta 1918/30 also can be used by tankers.
And even then, suppose that M1E5 Garand is the only semi-auto rifle in the game that the tankers can use. That’s so niche thing that shouldn’t affect any way possible when it comes to decide it’s BR as the performance is already severely lacking for BR 3 semi-auto rifle standard.

Just stop lowering stuff to BR2. It’s already the most overbloated BR by far.
If needed, just buff the weapon. But it definitely should stay in BR3.
Hey, i wasn’t the one not specifying it. 
I mean there are lots of BR 2 stuff in the game but just think this way, since it’s WW2 there are more “shitty” stuff than the actual good ones so it’s only natural that there are lots of stuff that deserves to be sit between BR 2-BR 3 so think this way instead of thinking it overbloated.
Giving ur vehicles a semi isnt even good ur way better with a smg
