I think they should make it where you can hip fire with it while standing up and only let you aim down sights with it by mounting it on a surface or going prone because it’s kind of stupid why you can’t shoot it while standing up.

Listen, the Americans need a 50-round belt option. Have you read the story about how they used to shorten 100-round belts? They did that for the Browning machine guns—the ones currently in the research tree at Battle Rating 5.

You and everybody else wants this, however, the dev’s apparently don’t think soldiers shot these from the hip and didn’t take 30 seconds to do basic research. 
Was it optimal? Probably not, however, it looks to me like it was done, and if it was done, then you should be able to do this in the game.
