Despite Japan having a M2 carbine obrez at BR5, in reality they most likely modified M1 carbines to fire in full auto. I propose that Japan gets an M1 Carbine that’s both sawn off and modified to fire in full auto with the caveat it uses the smaller 15rnd magazines. This would give Japan an event weapon that’s similar to the .30 cal Thompson from the USA and the 15rnd Mkb42 from Germany.
Weapon Type (For weapons only)
The M1 carbine field modification should be classified as an SMG due to its compact size, allowing vehicle crew to utilize it if they so wish.
Battle Rating (BR)
It should be BR3 due to firing .30 carbine at full auto but with a restrictive magazine size at 15 rounds
Type
It should be an event weapon like other similar weapons such as the .30 caliber thompson event SMG.
Availability
Because the M1 carbine field modification is a captured and modified gun, it shouldn’t be super common to see. This makes an event weapon the ideal type for it
Gameplay Purpose & Role
Even though it would be classified as an SMG, it would function sort of like a low BR assault rifle for Japan due to the power of .30 carbine. It would be restricted with the lack of a sight and the smaller magazine so I believe it would be balanced yet unique.
It should be a stupidly easy weapon to add because all they need to do is change the magazine model on the m2 carbine sawn off.

But America doesn’t have a 15 round full auto M1 Carbine. I think if both the US and Japan got their own in the same event then that would be ideal.

Well thankfully it doesn’t have to be uniform across factions. Japan gets a sawn off M1 that functions as an assault rifle, and the US gets a regular M1 that functions as a select fire rifle.

The .30 caliber thompson is an event weapon for USA at br3 firing the same bullet as the M2 carbine. It has almost 1000 ROF. The entire point of my suggestion is to give Japan a WORSE version of it at br3 so they have SOMETHING like it.
