This inconsistency is simply unacceptable, and does not represent how weapon recoil works between weapons. No, the grenade launcher does not affect reoil. You can’t fire a bullet through it while it’s on. The soldier screws on the same muzzle break as the FG 42 before firing.
Either the FG 42 1’s recoil gets increased to better represent the FG 42 lineage, or the event weapon gets its recoil nerfed to be consistent with the tech tree version.
Germany has long been regarded as a slop nation: it’s full of content, and gets to alternate between very engaging battle fronts. However, their weapons always lose out to Soviet and allied prototypes: this makes no sense LOL. The FG 42 is by far the full auto battle rifle with the most significant presence in the world war. The other BR 5 battle rifles are merely lab rats which never been pointed at a soldier (with the exception of AVT 40-10).
Such statistical neglect for these two iconic weapons cannot go on anymore.
I propose the FG 42 2 get a 80% recoil control
And the FG 42 1 gets recoil value buffs. Reduce both the vertical and horizontal recoil. Maybe un-upgraded should be 70 and 30. Actually no. Why set the bar so low? Just give it the same recoil as the event weapon already.
I’ve had a look at previous suggestions that mention the FG-42, but none are specifically talking about its recoil, so this thread is fine as far as I can tell.
Feel free to prove otherwise and I’ll take appropriate action as required.
Unless my eyes decieve me, both of these topics are suggestions about reducing the recoil of the FG 42.
Now, maybe you could argue that they’re arguing for reducing the recoil in distinct ways (vertical recoil vs flat recoil control), and therefor distinct enough to be seperate suggestions.
If that is the determination of moderation, then that’s that… But I’d argue that’s a rather weak distinction…
Especially since the spirit of the rules is to keep all discussions of a suggestion within a single place, so helpers can easily read the feedback.
