You boot up the game ready for war… and BAM! You’re not fighting enemies, you’re fighting MENUS! Tabs inside tabs inside tabs… it’s like a filing cabinet designed by a drunk octopus!
What happened Gaijin? I mean look at you, the creator of one of the coolest game ever WarThunder, and we get one of the worst user interface, I am not exaggerating I play a lot of games, like it was done on purpose or just lazy to update it…, I have never seen such annoying and cumbersome, it is a chore on itself, I have spent several hours puzzled on buying each of the 90 soldiers (30 per army) an upgrade, you have to upgrade 1 by 1, followed by the torture on listening to the celebrating drums like if the UI was not already tedious. I started to play this game when it came out but I uninstalled and gave it time, maybe it will be fixed, but no! And I know I am not the first one to “suggest” this. This is really a deterrent, do you think is fun on a “game” to spend hours before game to look where the hell is the upgraded Arisaka so you don’t have to buy over and over the same weapon? Why does equipping one guy feel like filing taxes!? I didn’t sign up for “Menu Management Simulator 2026”! People have jobs you know…

on the screen it looks like a slot machine had a nervous breakdown! Make it simple, sometimes less is more, make a warehouse (similar to the shop) so I can know how many beauty tickets or special squad coupons I have, it is necessary because I need to know so I can plan how to gear up… those tickets only appear like when you are prompted to level up weapon or soldier, but you have to dig to find how much are there… where is the premium weapon I just got? is in this army? is in the other? should I change the BR? you cannot directly see it, you have to dig and try every class, if you are unlucky you will forget it even exists.
Also an option to apply the perks or weapon present to affect the whole squad or even the whole army, make it automatic so when your soldier levels up, it will grow the perk there, it is hard to dig on every soldier and click by hand, mentioning there clash sound it makes and sometimes it glitches. How about no sounds and spammy animations.
This UI isn’t just bad, it’s a bureaucratic nightmare wrapped in a clutter sandwich. This is psychologically tiresome, is the opposite of listening to elevator music while shopping, it is a frustrating, cluttered, and unintuitive UI that creates friction instead of flow. It makes me angry and sometimes I just quit the game after upgrading whatever from EVERY soldier in the game…
