Let the vehicle, decoration, and camouflage systems be interconnected with 《War Thunder》

Vehicle Section

If a player has already researched and purchased the corresponding vehicle in the War Thunder tech tree, the same vehicle would be automatically researched complited in Enlisted. However, it would still need to be purchased with Silver in Enlisted before it can be used.

If a vehicle belongs to the tech tree in War Thunder but is an event vehicle in Enlisted, the player would receive compensation in Enlisted.

Some premium vehicles in Enlisted are part of the tech tree (for example, the Grant Mk I). If a player previously obtained them through past events or loot boxes, they would receive compensation (for example, an amount of Golden Eagles equivalent to a similar vehicle of the same tier like 1000GE).

Vehicles that are market vehicles or premium vehicles in War Thunder, and also appear as premium squads in Enlisted (for example, the BA-11 or the M26 T99), would not receive any compensation.

If a player has already researched and purchased a tech tree vehicle, it would automatically be considered researched on the War Thunder account as well.

If the vehicle is a premium vehicle in War Thunder and the player has not purchased it yet, the player would receive a permanent 75% discount for that vehicle in War Thunder.

For marketplace vehicles,(for example Alecto I) the compensation would be handled separately (for example, through compensation rewards or similar methods).

Camouflage&Decal

Camouflages that can be obtained for free in War Thunder would also become usable in Enlisted. Once a player unlocks a camouflage in War Thunder, the same camouflage could be used in Enlisted without needing to purchase it again.

If a camouflage is purchased in Enlisted but the player does not own it in War Thunder, the player would automatically receive it in War Thunder as well.

If a camouflage was purchased with Golden Eagles in War Thunder, and the player also bought the same camouflage in Enlisted, the player would receive a refund.

If a decal is owned in one of the games, the other game will automatically grant it. If it was originally purchased with real money, the player will receive a refund in premium currency.

3D Decorations and Weapon Linking

If players own items such as helmets or weapon decorations in War Thunder, they can use them directly in Enlisted without purchasing them again. This also applies to items like bushes and fuel barrels.

If a weapon has already been researched in the Enlisted tech tree or obtained through a squad, the player will receive the corresponding War Thunder weapon decoration. If the item is a marketplace item, it will be automatically activated on the player’s account.

If players already own certain non-market weapon decorations, they will receive Silver Lions as compensation.

For example, a grenade decoration could be unlocked by killing a specific number of enemies with the German M24 grenade, which would then allow the player to use that decoration in their War Thunder account.

If an item was originally purchased with premium currency in either game, the player would receive a refund after obtaining the linked item.

In short, any money actually spent—or items that could be exchanged for purchases—would be refunded in premium currency.

If there are any issues I didn’t consider, or if the translation sounds awkward, please let me know, and I’ll adjust it as best as I can.

Of course, the final decision isn’t up to me I’m just making a suggestion. I don’t know what it will ultimately turn into

War Thunder and Enlisted are two different games. Why do you War Thunder players always try to link Enlisted to War Thunder? War Thunder’s vehicle decorations are more DIY-oriented, while Enlisted’s armored vehicles are more like WWII historical camouflage and emblems. Do you really understand what I’m saying?

From what I can see, some things in Enlisted look like they’re from WWII, but in reality they aren’t historically accurate. For example, German tanks using the American version of jerry cans, the Japanese Navy Ha-Go using an American backpack, and even German M24 grenades appearing in places where they shouldn’t. Do you really think they care about so-called “historical accuracy”?

Even the Battle Pass camos can be completely fictional. Soldiers’ uniforms are also missing some personal carrying equipment, and the squad compositions aren’t historically accurate either.

Given the current direction of the game—especially if they don’t introduce a proper campaign/battle mode—it will probably just end up filled with all kinds of strange content anyway. So honestly, I support adding any unusual or experimental weapons.

If the developers truly want historical accuracy, there would need to be a separate mode dedicated to that.

I don’t know if you’ve played War Thunder, but if you have, you’ll notice that most people playing the game don’t actually care that much about historical accuracy. They’re just playing for fun.

Common decals include things like big eyes, edgy or joke spellings, large colorful decals, no decals or any markings that help friendly identification, default-style markings like in World of Tanks, placing a bunch of gun decorations, and patriotic symbols. All of these are very common.

Even in Hell Let Loose, you sometimes see people wearing white winter camouflage uniforms in Stalingrad when there’s no snow. It’s similar to the situation in War Thunder—people often use strange or unrealistic things just because they look cool or stand out.

In the end, though, we can only respect their choices.

Please go back to War Thunder. Don’t let your so-called DIY ruin this classic WWII history game. We respect WWII history, which is why Enlisted exists today. You War Thunder players shouldn’t be interfering with Enlisted’s basic content.

If you are a minor, especially a minor in China, I have two suggestions:

(1) World War II is not child’s play; there’s no need for any far-fetched adaptations.

(2) World War II is a real historical event; there’s no need for the LGBT community to offer entertaining advice.

Go back to school and study the history of World War II properly before coming to the forum to offer truly meaningful suggestions.

I’m not a “cloud player” :skull:. I actually play both of these games. I just prefer staying around Tier II in Enlisted, because it looks more like a WWII battlefield.

Also, all of my vehicle camouflages in War Thunder are based on real historical references, ranging from World War I, World War II, all the way to modern times. I’ve seen plenty of examples over the years.

I’ve also already submitted a suggestion about adding historical battle modes before—you might have even seen it :pensive:.

By the way, some people say they like historical camouflages, but they only use the custom skins from WT Live. Those are basically just for their own enjoyment, because other players can’t see them anyway.

Why would dev do this in the first place? What benefits would dev get by doing this?

I’m already an adult, and I don’t want to discuss this kind of controversial political topic with you (it’s better not to—War Thunder has already gone through this kind of situation before).

I just like World War II, but when it comes to the details, it’s impossible for me to cover everything—unless I were a historian.

I don’t know—it might have an effect, or it might do nothing at all. My original intention is just to help players of these two games not waste so much effort, while also making them feel that their time and progress are worthwhile, and giving them more options.

Also, if there’s no money being spent in War Thunder, other Gaijin games might disappear along with it. We can look at CRSED—it doesn’t seem to have many players, but it’s still alive. The situation for Active Matter might be similar.

No, this isn’t a political issue; it’s a matter of attitude towards restoring the history of World War II. In short, if you like World War II history, you can’t use DIY paint jobs from War Thunder to fool everyone, and you certainly can’t overly trivialize World War II history with Western fast-food entertainment.

My advice is to read more historical materials and watch more historical videos about World War II, then find detailed battle histories and combat units before posting suggestions on forums. Otherwise, your suggestions are completely unsuitable for the current enlisted environment.

They are two separate game, I don’t see the point of doing this. Moreover I don’t think there are that much players playing both game at the same time. Most players will not be benefit by this. Meanwhile those players that only play one game will receive free compensation. Dev will lost income without getting much benefits, so why will they do this?

But your suggestion literally encourage players to spend less because of those compensation?

Those who want to spend will always spend, and those who don’t won’t. Proper rewards or benefits can help reduce negative feedback. People who genuinely want to support the game—like my brother—will happily pay.

The political part is about the so-called “Chinese” issue—like, which China exactly.

As for camouflages, Gaijin only gives me so many options. I can’t just create decals out of thin air in the game; I can only use the existing in-game resources to try to faithfully recreate how they looked in real life.

Also, I don’t quite understand what you mean by “over-simplifying history.” If you’re referring to the current state of Enlisted, I think it’s actually completely reasonable.

Right now, the game is basically an arcade-style experience. If you really want to fully recreate historical camouflages, weapons, squad compositions, uniforms, and maps, the developers would need to create an additional mode with historically accurate symbols and settings.

Tell me what you mean by “arcade style”? Does this game have a virtual crosshair for gun aiming? Or does killing an enemy character display a medal reward? If not, it’s not an arcade game. Don’t use War Thunder’s standards to judge Enlisted; that’s just your personal prejudice.

I didn’t ask you to discuss political issues in this game, because it’s not political. I’m just annoyed by the misunderstandings and misguided advice that Chinese minors are giving to this WWII history game. Enlisted is based on WWII history, while you want to turn it into a fictional, alternate history within War Thunder, which is unacceptable.

Finally, this World War II history game was finalized for 2023, but the development team is currently working on a Cold War infantry mode for War Thunder. Therefore, while the game retains the basic historical elements of World War II, some changes may not suit the needs of most history enthusiasts. However, one day in the future, this World War II history game will continue to develop along a correct and unique path, provided that you don’t use War Thunder’s standards to modify it.
