vehicle 50 cals such as the ones carried by m4s and Most allied open tops are doing extremely low damage compared to there engineer built counter parts. this is very frustrating in the open tops case when most engments with planes are incredibly 1 sided as the 50 cal they rely on for air defense will never save them. additionally in a anti infantry role it doesn’t have the needed power to deter infantry requiring up to three body shots from a 50 caliber bullet to kill one infantrymen
these are the xrays of the above engagements the scotts 50 only yellowed the skin on the plane not even harming the engine pilot or fuel while the stationary 50 broke the engine started a fuel fire with considerably less hits on target
Funny how in your first video the soldier dies after the second hit and not the third.
Tank mgs in general are nerfed for balance sake. So if you want to get rid of the 50cal damage nerf then I would also request that the normal 7 mm mg is also be unnerfed for conconsistency sake but I doubt that you want that.
Would be fine and tank 50 cals are usually more aa based are much more slow firing and risk your commanders death to use in general 7mm guns work fine as is there higher rpm and lower caliber size make sense to require 2 hits or more to kill
The main reason is simply that they couldn’t figure out proper balance, so they nerfed it arbitrarily.
The M2 heavy machine gun was originally balanced with high damage in exchange for low fire rate. Now it has both low fire rate and low damage, making it completely underwhelming. In the end, only Germany’s roof-mounted MG machine guns end up dominating, which is really unfair.
So my only suggestion is: for vehicles armed with the 12.7mm heavy machine gun, raise their battle rating by one tier. Let them become proper dedicated heavy machine gun platforms.
Besides that, turn most vehicle-mounted heavy machine guns that cannot be operated by the driver into mounts that friendly infantry can climb up and man.
This fits historical reality. Also, since they’re operated by separate infantry instead of the vehicle driver, buffing their damage won’t make them overpowered or ubiquitous.
Which buff option do you prefer?
Raise the APC’s BR by one tier, and revert the heavy machine gun damage to its original value.
Make tank machine guns only operable by teammates, while restoring their damage.
Replace the heavy machine guns on APCs with standard Browning machine guns.
Italy’s 12.7mm is historically inaccurate and needs a full stat buff.
Because the components of his ammunition are different
There are variations such as AP, API, I, etc.
The standard bullet has an attack power of 12
If it is not the standard AP or API type of iron-head bullets
While the attack power of other soft bullets is only 5
Therefore, it takes three attacks to cause a kill
At the size and power of this round it shouldn’t matter on the human body an immediate action round would still rip you apart the vehicle 50 needs to be worth the risk of using not a pure detriment that fails at its role
all rounds from vehicle 50s have a weird almost defective quality I sprayed an entire overheat worth of ammo into a pz2 with my lvt a4 and only killed it’s gunner
What I’m referring to is not the real world.
What I’m talking about is the game setting.
In the game, the .50 caliber of the APC has 1 AP shot combined with 3 I shots.
In fact, the bullets with actual attack power account for only one fourth.
It’s very bad.
I don’t know if this was the state on the first day of the game’s release?
Or is it because if all the bullets have 12 attack power, would it be too powerful?
Currently, only the German APC has 100% AP, but the number of ammunition clips is very small and they are depleted very quickly.
They gutted them bad in the high caliber update it’s so bad that 50 cals only damage aircraft skin and barely pen tanks or tracks I had a bf 110 dive on me and I got probably 20-30 hits and he flew away unscathed basically
