Should the Krag-Petersson Model 1876 be added
- Yes
- No
The Krag–Petersson was the first repeating rifle adopted by the armed forces of Norway and was one of the first repeating rifles to be adopted as standard issue by a military force,[1] being preceded by the Swiss Vetterli adopted in 1867. Developed by Ole Herman Johannes Krag, the action of the Krag–Petersson was uniquely actuated by an oversized hammer. Another distinguishing feature was that the cartridge rising from the magazine was not seated automatically, but had to be pushed into the breech of the rifle.
Give it to the Russians i have offered a German, Japanese, and US rifle i see no reason to leave the reds out of the party. A rifle that served the Norwegian army this rifle would function much like the Lebel and Murata. Accurate with a low rate of fire but moderate magazine it would fit excellent at BR2. A good alternative for the Winchester and Federov.
