KP-44

DESCRIPTION
The KP-44 is a Finnish submachine gun developed in 1944 as a simplified and cheaper alternative to the well-known Finnish SMG Suomi KP-31. The design was heavily cost-reduced: stamped parts were used, the barrel shroud was simplified, and the trigger mechanism was very basic.

The weapon was chambered for the 9×19 mm Parabellum cartridge and used the same magazines as the KP-31, including the famous 71-round drum magazine. The rate of fire was relatively high, typical for Finnish SMGs.

The KP-44 appeared at the end of World War II and was produced in limited numbers, but after the war it was exported to various countries and continued to be used for a long time thanks to its simplicity and low cost.

Wasn’t this gun developed too late to see service before the armistice happened in 1944? Well i guess that doesn’t matter when we have su 9 in berlin. If it were in tech tree it could kinda be like german counterpart for pps 43.

This could be a nice thing for Germany to have to counter the PPSh 41 at BR3 and BR5

Voting no till m24 gets apbc rounds and u.s. getting a full auto sniper. Germany currently has really strong loadouts especially with all the event/BP/premmy stuff. After u.s. gets these things, along with a good BR 4 plane, i have no issues with germany getting some additional goods.

Since Kiraly is BR4 now, it would be nice to see some BR5 TT German SMG - and the Suomis were very iconic.

Also since we have alot of German BR2 SMGs that are obsolete, those could get buffed because many of them have artificially slow rates of fire.

Someone claimed FNAB having actually 900RPM in real life, so moving those guns up to BR4 or BR3 is also an option.

I dont think PPSH41 box is supperior to ZK-383 in BR3 after its dispersion fix anymore.

Instead of removing the unique aspects of slow firing fnab they should just add fnab 43(late) or something with higher rate of fire

I really dont understand people that think this slow rate of fire is “unique”.

I had an argument with Adamnpee in the past, I think a gun that would only deal 1 dmg wouldn’t make the gun “unique” but instead unplayable. Same thing with rate of fire at a certain point.

FNAB shoots so slow, it could just aswell be a semi auto carbine.

It is definitely not meta but it is fun to use and offers a unique challenge. Kinda like the m3 greasegun for americans. Leaving the old fnab 43 as a option would hurt nobody

The development of this weapon ended at the end of August 1944, so it is not a post-war weapon and it will be in the German hands because Finland left the war on September 19, 1944, and the development of this weapon ended earlier.

I votr no

Im offended by your profile picture - german schnitzel?

Schnitzel are, just like that one infamous painter, from Austria - not Germany.

Er, General von smeg off, this post is talkin about guns and stuff like historian boy talk stuff yeah so you should have posted that into section 3.2.3 of thefkrum titled “personal attack” … there’s a good boy xxx
