And they never built a Ke-7 either. Nor did SIG manufacture a scoped model. Japan certainly never captured a scoped Ke-7.
The difference, once again, is Japan bought and paid for a tiger tank. They owned one. Didn’t make it to Japan. No big deal they still owned it.
At no point did Japan capture a scoped Ke-7. At no point did Japan purchase regular Ke-7s. And at no point did Japan modify their captured Ke-7s to accept a scope.
The tiger has nothing at all to do with this issue. The issue is it just should not go to Japan. It shouldn’t even go to Germany in my opinion.
You can’t just take a picture from the Spanish archives and say “gib 4 Japan B’cuz tiger”.

The concept of ownership is the issue here. The Chi-Ri is in game. Could they have used it in combat? No it wasn’t finished. Could they have built more? Maybe but likely no. Their resources were shot. Did they own it? Yes. Was Japan the country of origin? Yes.
The Ke-7 is a Swiss gun. This Swiss gun was modified to accept a scope in Spain. Maybe a single time. Japan used captured Ke-7s yes. But at no point did they attach a scope to it themselves.
Maybe you could make an arguement for it going to Germany. Germany did meddle in the Spanish civil war. Japan had nothing to do with that. The tiger is not green light to add random weapons to Japan.
Japan used Hotchkiss machine guns. Should we give them the RSC? Of course not.
