Jumbo can't destroy puma with the HE anymore?

i’ve returned after 2 weeks and i’ve notice that the HE of the jumbo dosent pentrate the puma anymore, its a bug or the update change?

Possible a bug but might for the better enjoyment of newbies

Last patch changed plane bombs and the way they interact with the world. Now they explode in a cone
( V ) instead of ( O ) and you can go prone or hide to have a chance on not dying. So this means the HE is now nerfed as well and Jumbo and other tanks can not pen with HE anymore (all forms of explosions are tied together in the coding).

Most likely it will balance out again, just a big change that they put trough.

i hope so, if the puma user is competent kill the jumbo isn’t much difficult with this change.

that would be alright if the jumbo had APC but without it the puma simply rushed and flanked me, not much i could do.

I have also noticed that I have been having ghost shells when shooting the Puma. Both with the Sherman and the Scott. Like I will be aimed at the Puma with no obstructions, shoot, see the shell fly through the tank, and no hit marker or penetration model. Or the penetration reticule stays grey as if I am not aiming at anything. This is only happening against the Puma, haven’t run into it when shooting other Axis or Allied tanks.

You have reverse and you have turret traverse which is faster than Puma can flank. Just learn the new mechanics …

My Stuart contends with Pumas just fine.

All you have to do is not over-rely on your front plates for everything.

i’ve never relly on my frony plate i played quite of wt and i prioritize always the enemy tanks, in the 4 game i’ve played the enemy puma just rushed at me doing evasive manuvers, if enlisted was wt not a big problem but with the narrow fov and the velocity of the puma get a good shoot at the driver/ammo is incredibly difficult.

yes but the reverse of the jumbo is horrible and the turret traverse is good but not good enough.

Jumbo and Sherman dont have HE in their shells. If you hit empty space in the Puma you wont do any dmg at all.

Learn to play with the Jumbo … sometimes you have to switch to commander view for close up targets. Even still face it sometimes you come up against someone who is better than you.

Live and learn … mechanics have changed HE doesn’t kill Puma any more. He knew that and you didn’t. You were probably shooting at infantry and he took the opportunity to rush you while you had HE in your tube …

Right, but should it not at least show that it penned and did no damage? I am certain I have seen before in the hit cam when I pen but hit nothing vital.

I am saying that the shell doesn’t even trigger the hit cam that shows what the shell did. I did not have this issue before the update which makes me think it is a bug, but not sure if anyone else has run into it.
