Trust me, I know, I spend 150-300k a pop per squad, per nation to fill out more and more BRs or triples of things so I can full cycle one type of unit (Everyone kind of does this with assaulters) by default BR 5 maxxed infantry is also a great 3 unit cycle, machine guns, 3 planes etc etc. So yeah I know that grind. It is the luxury of years of play I can do it in a complete manner, it also is a real advantage to using boosters because every part of the squad is benefiting.
We lose battles as a group. We win more than we lose, solo no matter how good we are it is easy to lose battles because you have no situational awareness of what the other players or bots are doing. You know your team is actually people. You know the numbers next to their mark or the shape of their icon as to what they are doing. You know their APCs are going forward so you spawn to make it more people and by default help them with points. Their marks are trustworthy versus some asshat marking nothing (tanks, AA, cannons not included). It is the advantage of playing with people on a regular basis it makes the game less stressful because if you lose, it was not because people on your team did not do the minimal.
My initial post was a rant. I was really upset about that many battles being Germany in a row. It set me off even more when each and everyone of them was pathetic. Like 2 v 5 not people on a team just actual players. The parity needs to be equal number of human players. Maybe add rank into it. That builds up based on number of winning matches. I have been a marshal for years just based on time playing per pass.
That is where the group dynamic benefits the player group. It is 2-4 people achieving a goal versus 4 solos achieving a goal. They are some really good solo players, but there are a lot more fearsome groups that beat those solo players in a pack. Less skilled players become better when they play with skilled players. It makes it safer for them without being fodder to the other sides skilled players. Judging by the effort you put into squad building you understand the concept of skill versus skill. If someone bombs my tank, I get in a plane, if someone shoots that plane down I get in my bomber, if someone shoots that bomber down I get in another plane. If they kill a bunch of my guys with a machine gun, they get hunted down with a flamethrower, flood a cap, get a taste of a 2 engineer mortar squad. I like a good fight. I just hate playing full throttle a full match. I like to enjoy the different game elements. Poke around places, find good hiding spots and angles. I play I think its 11? Might be 10 but enough slots I have everything or 3 of something. Japan especially I am running 3 machine gun squads or 3 infantry(2 infantry 1 flame kind sorta the same minus no ampur).
Solo almost guarantees a loss on join any faction. It is almost as if it was “by design”. Specific BR’s and nations have high win %'s that fluctuate. Japan 5 is going to be popular in the next day because of the event. So it could mean a lot of wins for Japan and a lot of losses for Russia and US because everyone will want to play with the new toy and a lot of people will have to get to BR4 TT to use it. Germany 2 is a victim because it gets uptiered most of the time. Germany 3 is also semi victim. USSR 3,5 do ok like US 3,5 do ok. Japan 5 has always been the most solid winner for me just because its the group of players that have suffered and earned that weapon advantage. 1-4 BRs or having inferior almost everything to having 1-2 (Hei, Double barrel machine gun no air required, and maybe the Kek-7 MG but I hate the sound) of the best BR 5 weapons in the game.
But feel free to add me. If anything I play too much! If you have the BR’s I listed above and I add you to a squad its allows for almost instant play. If you get added and its just me, I usually adjust to the persons squad set up or a default we both have, or if I am feeling frisky and willing to fight a higher BR. Which is not much of a different honestly. I think lower tier mortars seems to do more damage. If I burn you with a BR3 flame throwing you are catching on fire just like a BR 5 flame thrower. I do not think there are BR 3 and BR 5 catching on fire. Low tier BR sniper rifles are very effective. ACtually better than higher BR stuff half the time. Semi auto sniping is annoying.
As far as competitive goes. That is just years of playing so its more a default setting. If someone wants to be a victim well who am I not to obliged. The AP mines I lay do not know a good player from a bad player. Nor do the rally points people place in the open repel said AP mines. Its great when you learn some little cavet of game information. Like marking with a plane. I did not know that for almost a year until I watched Quatro (or Mcdonlands 2 videos on tips). Now the group, we are cooperative competitive. Same goal different approach. Some things people cross skills in, others people have niche superior play styles. One of our group is good. Like better than everyone in the group that knows how to play well enough to be good. But that skill is only part of the battles dynamic, the addition of what others do well compliment the group overall. Its not me unless I am dropping a few 100 mortar rounds on you 2 seconds (They need to fix it, I have got 1200+) after the match starts, or putting a place on lock down that by the time the match is over the other side losses and I have 100+ engineering points. That is just good game awareness.
