Japan’s new weapon: 90mm mortars

At present, Japan does not have large-caliber mortars.
And what everyone desires even more is to have more unique features.
Then I recommend this type of mortar.

In fact, this mortar was an old-fashioned one that was put into use during World War I.
As the war progressed, Japan’s artillery was insufficient. So they re-activated this old weapon and deployed it on the battlefield.

Its diameter is very large, measuring 90mm. However, considering that Japan’s gunpowder and steel would be slightly inferior to those of Germany and the United States,
Therefore, its power might not be so powerful, and it cannot cause a wider range of damage.

Do you hope to see this kind of weapon being used on our battlefield?

I would like to see buildable 90-100mm mortars for all sides via mortar squad, might as well flex into it.

Japan doesn’t need 90mm mortars, it just needs a standard 80mm mortar

I voted no because Japan has multiple options for 81mm mortars which would be more fitting, since that’s the large caliber used by other nations already in the game.

The Type 97 (pictured in the post above) was the common, mass-produced mortar of the Japanese armed forces. The only problem is that it’s 1.4m long and weighs 66kg, which makes it a bit large compared to the other nation’s 80mm mortars in the game.

The Type 99 (linked below) was a short barrel, lightweight 81mm mortar used by assault and airborne troops. It’s half the length of the Type 97 and weighs only 24kg, which would be more appropriate for mortarmen in Enlisted.

At some point I would like to see a heavy caliber mortar unique building for engineers in mortar squads, and this could be a good candidate for that idea.
