Because some people cry about give japan get body armor, despite exist a certain use in battefield, I come for bring the idea of add the Type 99 Armored Shield (who it’s already in game for premium BR5 paratroopers) for purchase as customization for them
shields are stupid, and shouldn’t exist.

like, you’d think it should stop bullets, but no. they just decrease the damage or, ( like the hey lmg ) bullets don’t go through when they should. and yet worse, no downsides in stamina, being sluggish etc.
it’s mostly a gimmick that do not reflect how shields would actually work.
let alone being just plain dumb because weren’t even widely used in ww2.
I wouldn’t mind event variants of guns we already have with shields, but I don’t think the shields were common enough to be available all the time to players.

I’ll just clarify that the shield was not attached to the weapon in any way, and it’s very ridiculous for a fighter to run and jump with a shield that should have been lost long ago.
Although it is strange to see a soldier running with a weapon equipped with a heavy shield, I would like to see an event squad with the Type 96 with Type 99 Heavy armored shield
I suggest this should be a faction specific buildable that can be placed on sandbags and automounts a player’s MG on to it whenever they brace their LMG on that shield.
