Hetzer should be added as TT in BR III
The German tech tree in Enlisted is currently missing one of the most recognizable and requested tank destroyers of WWII: the Jagdpanzer 38 (t) “Hetzer”. Based on the reliable Panzer 38(t) chassis, this vehicle would be a perfect addition to Battle Rating III. Germany currently lacks a vehicle in this tier with real staying power , as most options are easily frontal penetrated .
Why BR III and not IV?
Although it shares a similar 75mm gun, the Hetzer has clear technical disadvantages compared to the Panzer IV and Jagdpanzer IV (BR IV at the moment) that justify its placement in a lower tier:
-Engine & Mobility: The Hetzer’s engine is significantly weaker (150 hp), resulting in a lower power-to-weight ratio and slower acceleration.
-Severe Vulnerability:The Hetzer offers a much-needed frontal resilience due to its 60° sloped armor but its side and top armor are extremely thin, making it an easy target for flanking infantry, any tank or even high-caliber machine guns from above.
-Ammo Capacity: It carries a limited load of only 41 rounds.
-Gun Constraints:The horizontal gun traverse is very restrictive (especially to the left), making it much more dependent on hull turning than its bigger brother.
Research Tree vs. Premium:
-The Hetzer was one of the most mass-produced German armored vehicles of the late war (over 2,800 units).
-Currently, iconic vehicles like the StuG III G are locked behind Premium or Gold Order walls.
The Hetzer should be a standard Tech Tree unlock to ensure that all players have access to a historical and iconic German tank destroyer.

Here’s a Image of the tank if you don’t know what it looks like.

60mm sloped is kinda too much for low pen tanks like KV1 - not that I am against KV1 suffering, but you dont fix something by breaking it.
This suggestion is to give German BR III tanks a chance to withstand frontal attacks from certain guns (in BR III, the Soviets have the T-34-57 and the Allies the M10, which can penetrate the Hetzer in this case). Furthermore, this resistance would only be effective if the player perfectly aligns the enemy tank, as even a slight tilt can be penetrated by the KV-1 (as you mentioned, and as we know, BR III tanks have the lowest penetration). Additionally, any bomb or aircraft can cause significant damage, so this can be easily countered if the player is worried about the tank camping in a gray zone. Moreover, it’s still a turretless tank, so its flexibility is quite limited and requires some skill to unlock its full potential.

If I remember well, the lower glacis is quite weak and easy to pen, disabling the Hetzer’s mobility.
The side are extremely thin, even 50 cal will chew through them.
And the cherry on top, if you load a 75mm HE shell and aim at the remote MG, the roof is so thin that the resulting hit will cause overpressure. Well at least it works on WT.

Okay, that actually would be cool tho. Hetzer indeed had a pathetic super structure.

He overpressure against close tops is pretty much the same as in war thunder so it should work. For some reason open top overpressure seems broken tho
It’s precisely those points that ultimately balance it out. On paper, or in terms of numbers, it would look very strong (frontal armor + gun), but in reality, it has several weaknesses. Furthermore, if it were to be added to the game and this threat to the Hetzer were real, it would open the possibility of seeing more T-34 57 and M-10 in matches.

I’m conflicted with this one I like German casement destroyers, but the Hetzer would be kind of redundant because of the StuG III G at rank III.
stug 3g is a premium with a more side armor and less frontal armor. wdym

We literraly have both Sherman II and M4A1 in the Tech Tree despite them being exactly the same tank just with British and American designation.
I don’t see why Hetzer would be redundant, yes it is rather similar but still a very different tank.
I love how German players use the weakness of a tank to air power then demand the allies surrender that air advantage,

Hi, the idea of this conversation is only to generate a suggestion, so if it’s not going to be a respectful response you can save yourself from making comments of this style here.

respectful = agree with you i am only pointing out the hypocrisy of a lot of people
a tank destroyer with a thick front but no turret that requires a lower br
a tank with thin armor and an open top nope that stays at the br that its at
i just love how wheeraboo see only the weakness of a german td and only the strength of an american when it comes to setting brs
youre right i dont oppose this being br3 i oppose the br3 open topped thin skinned tds at br4 that no one brings up
Oh, an arms race? You wouldn’t mind an M4A3E2 Jumbo at BR3, would you?

How is this an arms race….

Don’t you really agree? The Hetzel is no problem, but only one tank can penetrate it.
Skill problem, the armor is too weak
