It is hoped that certain aspects of the “flame” can be enhanced.
Current version: It takes 1.5 seconds for a soldier to be ignited.
Only then can it start to burn
We hope to significantly reduce this time, for instance, by 1 second or 0.5 seconds.
At present, the flamethrower team is already too weak. The flamethrower not only emits flames but also a sticky, oily substance.
It should not be unable to be ignited within a short period of time or be easily extinguished.
Currently, the flamethrower even cannot compete with low-grade SMG submachine guns.
Soldiers using submachine guns can even quickly fire and kill the soldiers of the flamethrower team even when they are on fire.
The current version - the killing speed of the flamethrower, attack range, attack coverage area, etc. - all of these are unfair. This will kill this profession. The overly simplistic gameplay will kill the game itself. This is not a good thing.

Realistically, I cannot see how anyone could possibly live after being torched.

Yet in Enlisted, you don’t even have to stop, drop and roll to survive.

A rework is needed!

Distance is very important when flaming the enemy.

Close = instant death
Far away = let me just put this fire and and I’ll be ok

Flame throwers emit roughly an 1,800 F flame, which is the temperature dead bodies are cremated at. Most likely, if you are on the incineration end of a flame thrower, you are “NOT” going to be able to return fire. The fear alone would probably paralyze you causing you to soil your pants, not to mention the severe pain as your body burns, as well as the difficulty of trying to peer through that 1,800 degree flames as it’s roasting your eyes trying to target the enemy with your weapon. On the bright side, the flame would most likely burn away any of your bodily soilage you made in your pants. Lets also not forget that you can’t breath in that 1,800 degree flame as it will scorch your lungs.

Flame throwers should easily be a one shot one kill weapon, like a rifle or shotgun. Even if it didn’t kill you, it would f**k you up to the point your fighting days are over. :joy:

The dev’s have unfortunately turned the flame thrower into a glorified Bic cigarette lighter.

In fact, the code for the flamethrower soldier shows that a high-rate-of-fire submachine gun directly kills the enemy with its flames. The flames are the texture of the bullet.

The other part: He will ignite the earth. 1.5 seconds later, the fire on the earth will ignite the soldiers. If he doesn’t put out the fire, he will die approximately 5 seconds later. It takes 1 second to extinguish the fire.

This is the truth of what is known as “massive and rapid death due to close proximity”.

Actually, I don’t object to the idea that the soldiers set on fire can fight back and kill the enemy.
But at the very least, you should have been killed after 5 seconds. That’s the correct way to do it.

Although I agree with most of it, this is based on the scenario where the entire area within the tunnels or bunkers is completely emptied of air.
Affecting breathing and causing brain coma
If there are indeed a few elite warriors in the wilderness who can counterattack despite the flames, of course, their ability to act will be lost a few seconds after the counterattack.
