Interview confirmed Wipe in OBT

enlisted shouldnt be like others / offtopic / i’m here only to discuss game chances to success based on public reactions, discussion forced by “shovels and gravestones & bad reputation”

I didnt said that its competitor, it was just an example of a successful game to see the ratio of likes and dislikes based on viewers amount. Thats why i have asked you for a title of your choice.

agreed

aren’t we all around here for that?

if i have to name something similar, but i wouldn’t call equal, a clear example would somewhat planet side,

hereos and generals,

the division 2.

what has the most of those game in common to enlisted? a working progression system not plagued by buyable equipment. and above all, microtransations are behind cosmetics. and cosmetics should be only.

( not for all title ) but lootboxes are present as well. rng. something that we hate. but there it’s less present because you almost know what you get and everything you get satisfied.

something that i cannot say the same with enlisted.

i don’t feel rewarded wasting precius gears to increase a weapon that for some reason must be upgraded in a world war two realist game it should be the main point.

i don’t gey rewarded being forced to gamble and being misleaded by reading " you will get x after x openings " which it doesn’t work. and i don’t get what i think of getting.

that’s why for the same reason me as a tester, along side many others people does not feel to suggest this game, and it’s such a pity. because they nailed preatty much everything aside from the gambling and known bs just to beg money. because that is what it is.

yesterday i saw a couple of videos that explain this factor better than me: ( and not only for ubisoft in the first case video especially at 6:50 )

it’s like entering disneyland but for do something, you have to pay behind everything
surely it’s an experience, but not worthed as a whole.
( sorry example i know… )

Well, the thing is - if we compare amount of likes per viewer based on the game review with most views ever (more people - more votes - better statistic of likes and dislikes) - enlisted ratio is twice higher than devision’s one. But somehow, you think devision is successfull, while enlisted

Amount of viewers generally says - hey, enslited isnt that popular as divison, nothing wrong here. But amount of likes per viewer clearly says - the game is liked same or even often based on those wo were interested in it.

well, just like star wars battlefront 2.

they had the worst beginning ever. something i would like to avoid here.

but with the time, they are excellent title that nowdays are still played quite a lot.

if we can prevent that from the open beta, this title can get ammount of moneys without having backdraws and many others issues.

you don’t need to be a jedi, an nasa scientist or anything.

but we all know that half of those people interestred in this title will die quite quickly after seeing what is present. and i’m sorry to always end up in the same arguments. but that’s the reality we have to face everyday, i’m not sure about your opinion, because sounds more or like " if you can’t change them, join them ".

which i do not agree with.

insthead, as said for comparison titles, we can improve this title and bring more people.

might sound dumb, but if i like this game, and i like what i see, why should be invested in squads that kills the fun of everyone? why not insthead putting money on cosmetics in order to render unique the whole experience, i know, the cosmetic factor is debatable. but it’s hundreds time better than being obliterated or oblitare someone that did not payed. it hurts the overhall and long life of this product.

that’s what i’m trying to say.

like, think about it.
why someone has to grind when he can just buy ( further down the line ) buy 3 squads and have almost the end game in their hands.

that’s not playing. they just skip fondamental part of the grind not allowing them to view the game as a whole, learn new tactics, and experiencing the game. ( not to mention, it’s kinda a " scam " because you still need to proceed with certain squad classes otherwise example is the assaulter prem squads where you are kinda stuck)

it’s a sorry system to make the player attached to game in order to make him keep playing, which doesn’t always work. and above all, there are many others way to make people keep playing the game and feel rewarded.

Because shitting on a game gets viewers.
Also using a twitch drop for genuine views/ opinions is bull because people only want free stuff, and people are toxic af.
I admit that’s the only time I actually watched a streamer that isn’t an IRL friend.

yes, but actually no.

for the next point:

weather it’s truee tha some of them are toxic, most of those lives has been somewhat interactive, i remeber one guy explaining averything while showing, somewhat, having an interactive live. and how good or bad you can talk about the game, those things are presents, right there on the screen. and there are no exscuses for what you see.

than, one of my favorite streamrs ( no i dont’ get paid for make him stands out on the others ) the europeancanadian. he somewhat ( also in his youtube chanell ) tries to remain the most objective as possible whenever he is judging something. needless to say that he pretty much covered enlisted in each detail.

although, here i agree with @627636 that most of those people came from war thunder and expect the same thing on enlisted. which should not be listened.

and it got many views as drops are pretty much a way to invite newer playes to keep a look in the game as they got free gifts.

If the game wasn’t actually shit, we would have more people watching it on twitch.
Just like mooelu’s 20k “potential customers”, if they were actually interested, they would watch more enlisted content. There is a grand total of 40 people watching Enlisted rn. War Thunder has 1.2k. Warframe has 700. Heck even Warface, a basically ancient, mostly dead game, has 350 viewers.

Even the people who were paid to play enlisted complained about the serious issues that need to be addressed, like premium squads being OP.

Yup. Getting the majority of players from another game prevents you from ever growing larger than said other game.

I already spent 60 Euro for this game and I enjoy it so far. BUT: If all the random casino elements stay as they are right now, I think I won’t spend another dime and stop playing. You feel pretty scammed when you try to upgrade a weapon and that upgrade fails twice, wasting about 60 parts. That’s just one example.

60 parts? level 4 to 5 costs 95 at a minimum with a 50% fail chance.

I like existing upgrade system. It’s not necessary but keeps you for earning supplies a few years.

Explain?
Because when I and my friends rage at Destiny, we get 3 - 4 times as many views than if we play calmly. So it’s kinda proof.

Agreed, because if you pass each time, then I would already have an army of fully upgraded Kar98ks/ ZBs/ Mg13s and would be losing interest in playing because I would have enough top tier weapons.
However frustrating it may be, I think it’s kinda needed

because not everyone is there to watch someone rageing over a game unless you know that person, and you are there because you know him, and having a laugh. that’s all.

not that people are there just to see shitshow. not all of them. so in a certain sense, someone migh be there for that. but not everyone.

i don’t think that’s related that much.

they might search for entairtainingment. and i ain’t psicologist or anything, but many people might found that funny.

and this proves that peoples are there for watching a group of friends playing. not the actual game, or shit on the game.

you see, i think you got a different idea overhall of the view.
( in my personal opinion )
but;
aren’t game made to played and having fun in the meanwhile?
aren’t we supposed to play the game for it settings rather than archieving top tier rifles and stuff?
like, that could be a side archievement, but it shouldn’t be the main point? like not everything going around that?.

or at least that’s what i think.

couldnt resist

I’m not here to grind for a few years. That is completely unreasonable.

If you NEED to grind to be able to enjoy the game, you aren’t actually enjoying the game in the first place. You only play for the next shiny thing. Maybe consider asking the devs to make the game actually fun?

I’m in game to have fun and I have it even without any upgrades. All boosts given you by upgrades bring slightly more advantage and not any more. In other hand you like to upgrade all your gear as well. So it will be s good motivation to stay in the game long enough.

Enlisted is getting good reviews, no? It’s already a fun game, maybe change progression, or something, or few things here and there.

But I just want to play the game already lol I paid early access back in December I think, thinking I can start. Here we are in mid March already

It’s not necessary but it helps, especially with some players.

It’s forcing you to pace yourself in how you approach content.
While full free-reign horizontal diversity should be considered the gold standard, it’s extremely difficult to actually do.

We all knew the wipe was coming, but after seeing the accidental screenshots of the Premium & monetization schemes, I am significantly lowering both my playtime and my expectations for the long-term success of the game. It is quite frankly disheartening to see a game with so much promise go down such a horrible path.

pay-to-progress is the least-impactful freemium monetization scheme there is.

You’ll be in for a surprise.
