I’ll keep this brief.
Since the player base in recent months is made up mostly of 20–30% veterans (at best; by “veterans,” I mean players with 50+ days of gameplay or who have played on and off for 4–5 years), while the rest consists of newcomers, wannabes in high BRs with no experience or equipment, or simply very bad players,
I propose a major gameplay change. Consider it carefully. I will not explain why this could be greatly beneficial for the entire game and the entire player base. Just think, on your own.
The Main Change:
During any match:
Tanks are only available to players who have earned 1,500 score.
Airplanes become available to players who have earned 3,000 score.
Obviously, the exact score amounts are debatable.
However, this would focus all players on infantry gameplay and help most players realize how important basic skills such as building rallies and assaulting are in this game.
Not to mention skillful defense led by one or two teams of seasoned engineers.
It would also incentivize veteran players who currently farm using tanks or planes to actually engage in battle by first playing as a regular private soldier.
It would also provide a carrot-and-stick mechanism for everyone, whether they are a new or veteran player.
Lastly, the entire concept should be tested. Perhaps in some kind of major event or I would gladly play it as an alternative official mode.
Common Enlisted Zombie: “The tank or plane is available. Should I use it?”
Common Enlisted Dev: “They will never allow this, even if that would save the game and actually ressurect it”
Common Enlisted Politeia: “What is this game anymore? They have updated it, broke simple stuff, then updated to break other simple stuff. They keep updating, while almost nobody interested is playing anymore. The wooden ladder is fine now, but the matchmaking does not match. Or, there are no players anymore. ”
