Increase the squads size to 6 by changing the current anti gunner to an assaulter and giving you a 6th normal soldier as either engineer or anti tank. This will improve the survivability of the squad by a lot and make it even more fun to play.
Yeah i dunno about this. I really value having an AT gunner and engineer with SMGs. Not sure it’s worth it for me.
As soon as I purchased my Chinese 7.63 Thompson squad, I committed blasphemy and morphed my Chinese squad into an American one. 
Yeah, I had mentioned this way back when I did it and this actually pissed someone off. 
I assumed he was Chinese. 
I tried to find the most caucasin faces I could.
TBH outside Burma it makes no sense for them to be Chinese so I put them in American uniforms in all the other campaigns. It would make more sense if they changed nationality ergo voice lines for the campaigns they weren’t in same thing could be done for a number of squads like the Moroccoan squad the USSR Sichuan Thompson squad and so on. I had them in frogskin or beach camo for Pacific/Burma but I might change that because that is to my knowledge the only campaign they belong in. I used to see this squad quite a bit in Battle of the Bulge in full Chinese attire albeit blue and it’s odd not so much anymore for no reason.

This squad is already overtuned. Being short one man is a form of balance — unless you move its rating up to BR III.
Really? Germany has lots of bp/event/premmy br2 stuff that’s just as good. Japan just gets this kind of stuff for free in tech tree.
I’d still take it if it were BR 3. Small squads are the bane of enlisted IMO.
I would rather it stay in br2 for that. It’s 2 men difference from a normal squad and with the extras it does get i don’t mind it. The one extra smg with 2 specialist equiped with said smg is worth it, although i still don’t think this particular squad would be game breaking if they gave it a TT radioman for a total of 6. The guns really aren’t anything special for what’s in the game now, but still good enough to use with two less men. They’d just randomly die anyways.
It’s tough. I think it’s interesting that this squad (and the other 5 man Chinese squads) have essentially a weapon that’s equivalent to 1 BR higher than the BR they are, but at the cost of that extra soldier. Giving them that extra soldier without changing the weapon just makes them blatantly powerful.
I could see it happening if they also nerfed the guns they used (Thompson 7.63 would probably have damage dropped to 6.7). Maybe one day we’ll see 8 or 9 man Event or Premium Assaulters with weaker weapons than the BR they are?
