The Sichuan Thompson is plagued by the same problem the Sichuan SMG has, that being a small 5 man squad on br 3. A squad this small can hardly work in slightly more challenging games even on br 2 a squad like the Thompson 7.63 runs into the same issue. I suggest to increase the squads size to 6 by changing the current anti gunner to an assaulter and giving you a 6th normal soldier as either engineer or anti tank.

Not if it means losing an AT gunner with the SMG. I’d rather take one less normal assaulter and keep my AT assaulter.
Hopefully, they will add 4th Assualter with squad gun.

getting update recently is likely best case to happen again.
I call them my Sichuan chicken squad. 
Problem is that you cannot recruit a normal Chinese soldier for USSR, so you would have a squad made of 5 Chinese guys and another who isn’t Chinese. So they should still give an event Chinese soldier, not a normal one.
I think all 5 men assaulter squads(Sichuan Thompson, 7.63 Thompson, Silenced MP40, Silenced Stengun )should be changed into max 6 men squad instead, i don’t use them because they are minus 2 men from a regular assaulter squads and it’s a huge disadvantage imo. A disadvantage severe enough that even their usual good SMG can’t make it up for.
