We should offer the Japanese army more options. Currently, their choices are extremely limited, even including activities and paid teams.
Various models of the Type 99 rifle
The full-length of the 99mm rifle is 1258mm, which is comparable to the 38mm rifle (with a full-length of 1275mm). Later, two variant models were developed. One was the 99mm short rifle (machine gun), with a full-length of 1130mm (at the Nagoya Arsenal) or 1127mm (at the Oriental Industrial Company); the other was the 2nd model rifle, which was finalized in 1942 and was used by parachute troops. The barrel and stock of this rifle could be separated, making it convenient to carry close to the body during parachute drops.
Currently, the one in our game is the long model.
There are currently two different derivative models.
(Due to the parameter discrepancies among different companies, these two can be regarded as two different types of weapons.)
1-The 99 Model Short Rifle (built by the Nagoya Arsenal), with a total length of 1130mm.
2-The 99 Model Short Rifle (East Asian Industrial Company), with a length of 1127mm.
The 97 Model Sniper Rifle, which the Japanese themselves call the 97 Model Sniper Gun, is a manually operated bolt-action sniper rifle designed and manufactured by Japan in 1937. Due to its naming based on the imperial calendar year, it is called the 97 Model Sniper Rifle and has been the standard equipment for Japan since the invasion of China until the end of World War II.
To avoid inconvenience for the shooter, the straight pull lever of the Type 38 rifle was changed to a downward-tilted design to prevent the lever from being interfered with by the scope during shooting. The scope base was installed on the left side of the gun body. Initially, it was a 2.5x scope, and later it was modified to a 4x scope. To reduce the weight of the entire rifle, the mechanical sight on the gun body was retained. On the second ring that encases the gun body, there is a steel wire bracket. During shooting, it serves as a stabilizing footstand, and when not in use, it folds forward.
Moreover, I hope to create a different version that can demonstrate the effect of this support structure.
This can be said to be the most interesting rifle stand that has been seen so far.
