i hate the 50 cal gutting it feels like angled performance is weakened and infantry damage where its genuinely better to use 7mm guns as they 2 hit while 50 commonly 3 taps tho i must say at least 50s pen armor now i remember for a while after the heavy caliber update vehicle 50s couldn’t pen even planes i will post a preview of what they used to do

Of course this is the opinion of someone named adolf. It’s a 3 man jeep squad with no protection. Mg gun squads can already build the one hit kill version of it. How the f*k do you justify the italian “jeep” germany is getting for br2 if you think a standard m2 jeep is too strong for br2? It’s got a 5 man squad, 3 mgs that bots can use which fire rounds significantly faster and more accurate, moves significantly faster, and to top it all off comes with a 20mm autocannon which can insta kill infantry, take out some tanks, and keep the skies clear way more efficiently than a m2.
Please, tell me how your german bias brain justifies these things? I would love to know.
Tried the squad out just now. It feels powerful, but if you compare it to Willys 1919, Kubel or even GAZ, you see that this feeling is all it gives. And long reload doesn’t help either, idk why a 100rd box of 12.7 reloads like 5 times longer than a 500rd box of 7.62 of the tech tree Willys. Just buffing the damage will make it too powerful, leaving it as it is makes it a downgrade from the tech tree version.
As for your post: I’ve got a feeling that a buildable MG is a bit different from the one on a maneurable Jeep, won’t you be so kind to point out why it is different? Italian vehicle will have small 20rd mags, probably with reload of 2-4 seconds (3.0 aced in WT).

Uh huh. Taking 3 shots to kill an enemy with a slow firing mg sure does feel powerful right? Especially when you’re totally exposed and not behind a barrier that the standard buildables get. Can’t forget how OP it is not to be able to use the iron sites as well. I’ve explained why it’s different and lesser than them. A mg squad has 7 soldiers, 3 with machine guns themselves unless it’s a premmy/event squad that give you 5 machine gunners. You get walls/barriers with them covering most of your body, and if you happen to go down, you have a sizable squad that can keep replacing the body. I will repeat once more, the jeep only gets 3 guys, no cover. A tank will take the crew out immediately and so will a group of nearby enemies. It’s not powerful when a dude can wipe you’re whole squad before you can kill one soldier because it takes 3 effing shots to kill. A br2 mg squad is by far more powerful than this. The Italian “jeep” is by far more powerful than this. It’s a singular gun with clustered dudes with no protection. It’s also not accurate on the move at all. It’s can really only be used effectively at a stand still . I play germany far more than u.s. right now, i clearly would have zero issues with this in br2. You’re whole argument is no argument at all. It’s purely based on feelings. It may feel powerful because it looks and sounds like a hmg, but in reality it’s just a really big pistol. Hell, i bet i could run into a mass of enemies with a pistol and get more kills before dying than driving up to a mass of enemies with an m2 jeep
Not exactly, the MG34 has to reload after every 50 rounds but the M1919 only after every 250. So you have to reload 5 times as often in exchange for twice the DPS and less DPS in the long run. Having played both its actualy realy balenced (compared to each other) if you ask me.
I havent read every comment but Ill just say that yeah if its .50 cal it ought to be 1 shot killing people.
I also agree that is the case with existing buildable HMG (which is available to everyone with an MG squad, whereas the .50 cal jeep is premium).
A family member’s friends’ father fought in WWII in the RAAF, he used to strafe and rocket the marshalling yards at Turin with his Mustang, the .50 cal bullets, combined with a steep dive, were so powerful they’d punch holes in the iron railway tracks.
To be fair you have to bring it without handheld MGs at BR1, which means 3 of your 5 guys are stuck with the basic M1903. It could be worse but thats still the worst rifle the allies have. I still agree with your point for BR2 though.
I’m going to completely disagree with an up tier the .50 alone with 100 rounds boxes even with appropriate damage for its caliber is not strong enough to justify an up tier now if they added a suppression mechanic as well then yes maybe it could work at rank III.
